July 2009

This past weekend, John & I celebrated Melissa & Patrick’s 30th birthdays with several of their best friends out at Bella Vita at Geist! We all had so much fun together!! (Most of you know Melissa already but for those who are new, she’s one of my side-shooters and she and her husband Patrick have b-days within about a month of each other) Anyway, we all had a great time hanging out, laughing, eating ice cream & cupcakes that night! YUM!

Patrick being a goof ball…. 😉

“Hmm….which fabulous Holy Cow Cupcake do we choose?!” 🙂

Melissa and her friends!!

It was such a great night, the weather was perfect so we all hung out at the beach bar afterwards to listen to the band and take more pics….

Thanks for a fun time everyone & Happy Birthday again to Melissa & Patrick!! We love you guys!!

After the double wedding weekend, we left for a week of much needed R&R!! 🙂 We headed south to the Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa. We’ve been to Sanibel several times and LOVE it there but this was the first time we stayed at this particular resort. It was gorgeous! We had a suite overlooking the water and it never rained the whole time we were there! 🙂

The sunsets were fantastic! Here’s the one from the first night…

We headed to the beach the next day…

I took some cute pics of John while we were on our trip…

The sunsets became more and more amazing with each passing night…

LOL!! Loved it…too bad that store was closed when we were there that night! 😉

We went on a dolphin cruise one day…

And if you follow us on facebook, you probably saw the full 5 minute video I posted from that day…wasn’t it awesome?! 🙂

Pretty flowers…

John chillin out at the tiki bar 🙂

We saw this cute little guy as we were driving around the island one day….he was just walking down the sidewalk minding his own business and stopping to eat now and then…he posed for a photo 🙂

The famous Sanibel light house…

Heading home…

It was such a great trip and it was very much needed during this BUSY wedding season! We were able to recharge our batteries to tackle all of the work ahead of us! 😉

On 7/11 we photographed Ashley & Ryan’s FUN wedding at St. Peter & Paul and Fountain Square Theater! Kathy’s Kloset did an AMAZING job on her bouquet, the colors and flowers were gorgeous…oh and check out Ashley’s dancin’ shoes… 🙂 FUN!

Marie Frey was her coordinator (yep, we got to work with her 2 weeks in a row!) and since they’re huge baseball fans and Ryan actually works for the Indians, a baseball garter was fitting for the occasion! 🙂 Marie actually made this garter!

Mother Nature didn’t want to cooperate at the beginning of the day so instead of outdoor pics, we used the amazing back light coming in from the foyer to create some gorgeous pics for them!!

Ashley looked stunning!!

I think this shot just shows how gorgeous and huge that church is…favorite!!

Afterwards, we took some fun pics with the two of them together! Ashley loves my lollipop shots so I bought one in her pink colors just for her that day… 🙂

Then we hopped on the trolley to drive around downtown…

We made a quick stop at Victory Field for some fun wedding party pics!

And it had quit raining long enough to do some outdoor pics before the reception – yay!! 🙂

An old fashioned photo in the diner…

Up on the roof…

Yep, they even got to go bowling with the wedding party at Fountain Square!!

The reception site looked amazing!! It’s such a unique venue!

And their favors were sooooo cute!! I think that was one of our engagement photos etched in chocolate! How cool is that?! 🙂

CAKE FIGHT!! LOL 🙂

Some of the bridesmaids surprised Ashley & Ryan with a Michael Jackson tribute dance…they were loving it!!

Everyone LOVED it!! 🙂

Thanks for a fun time you guys!! More pics coming soon! 🙂

On 7/10 we photographed Nicole & Mike’s gorgeous wedding & reception at the zoo! I loved all of the bright colors, fun details and personalized touches they had that day!! Here’s Nicole diving in the dress during her getting ready pics…

And here’s our handsome groom out in the gardens…

Check out her sash, isn’t that FABULOUS?! 🙂

Her bridesmaid dresses were stunning!!

A cool infrared shot during the ceremony…

LOVED IT!!!

Another fun wedding party! (Yep, the flower girls tossed their baskets!) 🙂

Perfect sunset light for photos after the ceremony…

And some paparazzi style shooting 🙂

Nicole looked AMAZING that day!! Karen Hall did her make-up and Dani did her hair, isn’t she gorgeous?!

Diana got this skyline shot that I loved!!

That rotunda just begs for a fisheye shot…. 🙂

Off to the reception!

A Little Bite of Heaven provided their cupcake cake and I tried the banana flavored cupcake at the end of the night and it was FABULOUS!

Mike performed a tribute dance to Michael Jackson that night and the crowd went wild!!

LOVED IT!!

Since we were in the dolphin pavilion, we whisked them away for a few shots with the dolphins…this was my FAVORITE!!! 🙂

They had all kinds of water/beach related items on the tables for their centerpieces and decor…the starfish was the perfect “prop” for an awesome ring shot though!! LOVE my macro lens!

Hope you guys had a blast in Hawaii!!! More pics coming soon! 🙂

On 7/7, we photographed Kelly & Brian’s engagement session downtown…we did half of their shoot at the monument and the other half at Lucas Oil Stadium! They’re SO funny & cute together and they have 3 “pawsitively” adorable pugs that came along for their photo shoot….

My husband, the part-time dog wrangler…LOL!

The “paw-parazzi” (as Kelly called us) was out in full force that night! Meet Harley, Sophie & Dixie!!! They have their own blog – CLICK HERE to check it out!!!

Yep, Kelly had “save the date” shirts made for them…isn’t that CUTE?!!?

LOL!!

I’m thinking this might be a good family Christmas card photo for them?! 🙂

And a few pics without the furbabies…

Then it was time to go to Lucas Oil Stadium!! Yep, they all had Colts bandannas to wear!

Poor Sophie!! It looks like she’s saying “I’m sqqquissshed!!!”

Get it?! LOL My quirky sense of humor strikes again! 😉

FAVORITE!!! Kelly has SUCH pretty eyes!! Loved this!!

Thanks for a fun time you guys!! More pics coming soon! 🙂
