December 2009

1

Merry Christmas to all of our blog readers and fans! 🙂 I thought I’d share some of my favorite Christmas photos from our family events this year…here’s my sister Leah, who was super excited about the Burberry perfume and huge make-up case we bought her…yep, she’s a diva at heart 🙂

3

Dad loving on my other sister, Mary…I can’t believe she’s heading off to college next year. Wow, I feel old. LOL!

2

Every year we order a peppermint cake from Ilene at Classic Cakes…YUM!!!

4

They did such a great job decorating it and it tasted as good as it looked!

5

6

Right before my mom cooked the ham and baked beans, Buddy was hanging out with us and sniffing the can of beans on the counter and we all realized at the same time that he looks JUST like the Bush’s baked beans dog!! LOL “Roll that beautiful bean footage!” 😉

7

Buddy is almost as tall as my mom! LOL He wore his new Santa suit almost all day, it was so cute!

8

Like father, like son 🙂

Every year my grandma would put together an awesome stocking filled with goodies for me & my mom…we always looked forward to our stockings. This was our first Christmas without my grandma & we missed her terribly. 🙁 My grandpa surprised both of us by making stockings with our names on it and filling it with goodies, just like grandma used to do. We couldn’t believe it, he even glittered our names on them! It meant so much to us and it was definitely my favorite Christmas memory this year. 🙂

12

“Santa kitty” visits our home every year and this year, he left lots of new toys and treats for our furbabies! Ben was trying to figure out if this one was alive or not. LOL!

13

Mr. Wiggles didn’t want to have anything to do with his new mouse toy…he was like “Seriously? That’s gross!” It’s so funny to see all of their different personalities come out when you give them new toys.

14

15

Snowball was NOT amused! LOL Doesn’t this shot look like it belongs on one of those posters that talks about attitude and team work and stuff? rotfl

16

I have always ADORED Snowy’s pink pads on his feet…they’re OH SO CUTE!

17

Bailey definitely wanted to play with his new toy!

18

He talks to his toys 🙂

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!!

Last week we photographed A Classic Party Rental’s December Open House and we had a great time! The displays were amazing as always and it was fun to catch up with everyone! 🙂 Brides & vendors were invited to come check out the latest ideas in design, decor & rentals for their upcoming events and it was a full house that night! Each table had different themes and designs that were awesome…Pam from JP Parker Flowers provided the flowers & decor, A Classic provided the rentals, Roger Muller was the videographer for the event, Melissa from Sweet & Savory provided the yummy catering, Julie Wells from Imagination Station Toys set up the incredible toy display & Evans A/V provided the awesome uplighting. (If I’m missing anyone, please let me know…I like to give credit where credit is due!) 😉

Last weekend we met up with Theresa & Michael and their adorable dog Sammie to shoot their engagement pics at sunset at the Village of West Clay! I had been checking the forecast for several days before the shoot and was getting more and more excited because I had a feeling that we had picked the perfect night for their session…the forecast was sunny, cool & clear…not a cloud in the sky….and the sunset was AMAZING!!! Every once in awhile you get super lucky like that and I was thrilled! 🙂 They’re so adorable together!! Don’t you just love that warm yummy light?! 🙂

2

I turned this one into a light sepia tone which was pretty cool…

Thanks for a great time you guys!! 🙂 Can’t wait until your wedding next year! More pics coming soon…

I hope everyone had a FABULOUS Thanksgiving last week! We hosted it at our house for the first time which was fun! 🙂 I don’t post as many personal pics on here anymore since so many of you follow us on facebook now and a ton of them end up over there but I thought I’d post some of my faves today for those of you who aren’t on facebook. 😉 When we got our new dog Buddy from the shelter a few weeks ago, they said they thought he was about 2 years old…since he was a stray, no one really knows so we decided that we’d celebrate his b-day every year on 12/1. He had a great birthday! We bought him a new blinged out ID tag with his new name engraved on it and a bag of Greenies, his new favorite treats. He posed for a few photos in his birthday hat for me, isn’t he precious?! 🙂

1

This one makes me laugh!! Isn’t he a funny dog?! 🙂

2

LOVE this one!! 🙂 He’s even smiling for me 🙂

3

Buddy likes to wear his Colts jersey around the house, isn’t that funny?!

4

I found all of this cute table decor and stuff at Bed, Bath & Beyond this year…they have tons of table cloths, runners, chair covers, napkins and napkin rings to match – loved it!

5

I adore cute napkin rings!!! This shot reminds me of a funny story that I have to share! About 7 years ago when John & I were engaged and picking out things for our first place, I bought cute napkin rings for our kitchen table. One of his friends from college saw the stuff in his car and was like “why do you need napkin rings?!” then after a short pause he said, “She was (shopping) with you, wasn’t she?!” 🙂 YUP!

6

A few days after Thanksgiving, we celebrated dad’s birthday! 🙂 (Happy Birthday Dad!) Loved his Christmas tree cake this year…very festive!

7

Hmmm…a pink & green bag…wonder who that’s from?! 😉
