March 2010

Yesterday we photographed Kate’s boudoir session at the COOLEST place ever – the Art Bank on Mass Ave downtown! She stumbled upon it by accident during Mass Ave’s “First Friday” event a few weeks ago and it truly was the perfect spot for her photo shoot. It’s an old bank converted into an art gallery! They have lots of different wall colors, art pieces, dramatic lighting and the most awesome old bank vault! Kate also loves The Flying Cupcake so we incorporated some cute cupcake pics into her shoot (above). I loved this shot below against one of the paintings…she reminds me of a mermaid or something… 🙂

Holy cow, you look AMAZING Kate!! Katie Jones at the Savvy Salon did a FAB job on your hair & make-up! 🙂

Oh la la!

Of course I had to add my artsy vision here too… 🙂

Kate showed me a pic of Lady Gaga that she wanted to replicate…very dramatic lighting and all…we aim to please 🙂

Here she is in the bank vault…

She brought props and everything!

Thanks for a fun time yesterday!! 🙂 More pics coming soon!!

Last Saturday, we photographed Kelly & Brian’s “pugtastic” 🙂 wedding downtown and we had SO much fun!! Kelly had so many fun, unique details that made for some awesome photos! Check out the custom-made dress hanger – wow! (Kelly, can you post the link to all of this cute stuff in the comments below? I know my blog readers will email me asking where you found all of this cool stuff!) 🙂 Here’s Kelly getting all “beautified” by Beauty by Crystal

Adorable!!

I LOVED her bouquet!! Chuck Eaglin from Meridian Floral Design & Events really outdid himself!! WOW!

For all of you Indy locals, remember the Shane Company radio commercials that have been running for the last few weeks? Well, that was KELLY in the commercial!! 🙂 Yeah, she’s famous.

We staged their private moment in the ballroom at the Omni…it’s so pretty in there…

Brian was quite a happy guy when he saw his gorgeous bride for the first time! 🙂

He looks pretty handsome himself! 🙂

Loved their boutonnieres!

Brian with all 3 of his puggies!!! They were all dressed for the wedding too of course! 🙂

The whole family… 🙂 Poor little Sophie was SO tired, she fell asleep during her photo shoot. 😉 By the way, the pugs are so famous that they have their own blog! CLICK HERE to read it! 🙂

LOL! Sophie, you are a doll baby!!! XOXO

Yes, I said the magic word… “TREAT?!” 🙂

This one belongs in a magazine…probably the Wedding Dog magazine, don’t you think? 🙂

Kelly and her furbabies…

LOL!

They had such a great wedding party!! Hi ladies!!

More fabulous flowers from the awesome Chuck Eaglin…

Kelly’s dad was with her in spirit that day… 🙂

I LOVE bird cage veils….LOVE LOVE LOVE them! 🙂

Kelly, you’re so gorgeous!!

You two are so perfect for one another! 🙂

A little infra red action before the ceremony…their ceremony was held at First Meridian Heights Presbyterian

Check out their cute sign-in mat! LOVED IT!

They had lots of candles lining the aisles and windows of the church, it always adds to the ambiance of the event!

Such a fun program & design!

YAY!

After the ceremony, they had a small informal reception at the church before they went to dinner with their families. Look at their cookie favors, they MADE these!! 🙂

Off to Buca di Beppo for a yummy Italian dinner!

Check out her bling! WOW (Brian, you did good) 🙂

I LOVED how personal and private the rooms felt at Buca that night, it truly is the perfect place for a small reception or dinner. (Plus, it reminds me of one of my favorite restaurants on Captiva Island, the Bubble Room!! Awesome decor & awesome food!)

Kelly’s sweet friend Laura made all of these cupcakes for them! Notice the pugs on top and the pug cookies! 🙂

Love the back light on this one, so festive! 🙂 (Nice shot idea Liz!)

A little bubbly to go with the toasts…

I love how Buca is lit up at night!

Hope you guys are having a fabulous time in Jamaica this week!! Thanks for a fun time at the wedding, more pics coming soon! 🙂

Last weekend we photographed Melissa Heigl and her pets showing off their amazing tricks in her training room at the Nutty Mutt Dog Bakery & Washery! Melissa owns a cat and dog training company called The Ideal Pet, Inc. and we were totally in awe of her abilities!! One of my clients actually introduced me to Melissa and thought we’d get along great since she’s an animal lover like I am! 🙂 Here’s her wall of fame in her training room…

Her adorable kitty Luca!

She has trained him how to do high fives…pretty cool, huh? 🙂

He’s also a musician as you can see…he works for food. 🙂

This one made me laugh out loud when I was scrolling through our pics from the shoot and came across his hula hoop jump!

Luca is a very playful kitty!!

Melissa gave Luca a break and brought Yuki out to do a few tricks, like ringing the bell for food and balancing on a ball!

Then her dog Shade made an appearance…he’s quite the ladies man. 🙂

He’s so obedient!! He would sit on his mat (towel) and wait for commands…we were highly impressed!!! 🙂

Thanks for a fun time that day and for letting us love on your furbabies!!! 🙂
