August 2012

On 8/25 we photographed Jeff Zuber’s exZUBERant Celebration of Life party in Noblesville. My husband John is friends with Jeff (and a lot of his close friends) and he mentioned to me that Jeff has been suffering from colon cancer. 🙁 One of our awesome mutual friends, Chris Reed, decided to put together a celebration of life party for Jeff and his closest friends and family. I offered to photograph the event, I knew it would be important for everyone in attendance to have great memories of an amazing night, a night which Jeff now refers to as the “best night of his life.” 🙂 Guests decorated Jeff’s backyard to give it a party atmosphere, everyone pitched in and brought food & drinks, they made a tribute video to Jeff, people signed notes and cards for him to read after the event & there were many hugs and tears shed that evening as Jeff’s friends said their good byes. I would love it if my blog followers would consider donating to Jeff’s family. He will soon be leaving behind five children. 🙁 You can donate to his family online at: http://exzuberant.eventbrite.com/ To view all of the photos from the event, go to: https://erinhession.com/exzuberant-celebration/

On 8/24, we met up with Karen and Pete in Carmel for an amazing sunset shoot filled with lots of love, fun & laughter! Stella, their adorable pug, made an appearance for some photos & we stopped by their favorite hang out, Detour, on Main Street. After that we headed over to the Palladium where there was an AMAZING sunset!! The best part about having multiple photographers is that you can get two totally different looks from the same scene. I went for some cute silhouettes while John shot some amazing sun flare that night, I loved it! 🙂 Thanks for a fun time you guys!!

On 8/12, we met up with one of my friends and side-shooters, Melissa Hanley, and her family for a group photo shoot at the State Fair! One of our favorite yearly traditions is to go to the State Fair so when one of my clients booked us for a shoot out there last summer, I thought that was a fabulous idea! 🙂 Melissa did a great job capturing us having fun together & playing games, we all had a great time & I know we’ll cherish these photos for years to come!! 🙂 THANK YOU Melissa!!!

On 8/9 we met up with AdriAnne for her awesome maternity shoot at D’Amore! Her baby boy is due any day now and he’ll be named Joseph Byron, after both of her grandfathers who served in the military. In keeping with the patriotic theme from my last blog post, I thought I’d post some of her more patriotic shots first! 😉 You’ll notice the War Memorial is in the background of one of the shots, she found out that her grandfather’s names are engraved there which was pretty cool! AdriAnne is also a huge fan of hand-coloring so I included some of those shots too of course! Personally, I loved her “ready to pop” sequence with the bubble gum & balloons!! Soooo cute!! 🙂
