April 2013

On 4/28, we photographed Karen Hall & Co’s class photo shoot! Karen teaches up and coming make-up artists how to prepare models for photo shoots so it’s a good opportunity for them to gain experience and be part of a live photo shoot where they can see how their work photographs and it also gives them the chance to have new or updated images for their portfolio. 🙂 Our models, Maggie & Angel did a fantastic job at the shoot!! Maggie nailed the high fashion look and Angel nailed the 1940’s pin up look! Great job to Karen’s students and assistants too, you guys rock!

(I’m blogging a little out of order here due to the sheer number of shoots to edit at the moment but we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled wedding posts soon!) 😉 On 4/25 we photographed Dr. Beck and his office for his new website that John will be launching later this year. John & I have been going to him for over a year now and we love him, he’s so amazing!! He’s got us on a lot of great vitamins and supplements that are awesome. I know I feel a million percent better compared to the first time that I walked through his door, that’s for sure.

Just last week, I had a horrible sinus headache behind my left eye, it had been going on for almost 3 days so I figured it was just Spring allergies or something. He did acupuncture (which didn’t hurt at all!) and he used pressure points on my face and head to relieve the sinus pressure. I bought an all natural antihistamine before I left and within an hour, ALL of the pain was GONE and I could fully breathe again!! He treats everything under the sun and he always does it in the most natural, healing way. I don’t always understand everything he’s doing but I don’t care, it works! 😉 If you’re looking for a new doctor, I highly recommend him!! He also travels all over the world a lot and he teaches other doctors about what he does and while he’s on his trips, he takes gorgeous photos of landscapes, animals, flowers, etc. His entire office is filled with his photography work that he does on the side, so of course, we have a lot in common and a lot to talk about every time I see him!  To check out his current website and to get more info, click HERE!

On 3/28 we photographed Thomas Caterers’ annual tasting event! It’s a special night that we look forward to every year because it’s their opportunity to present new menu items to their close friends and business associates and it’s our opportunity to photograph AMAZING dishes prepared in the most unique, fun & stylish way! Thomas is known for not only their delicious food, but also for their presentation and style. (Kelly & Vince even teach other catering companies across the country at their annual catering convention. They are SO creative and on top of their game, I love that!!) Guests enjoyed a variety of drinks, appetizers, entrees & desserts and gave honest feedback on their feedback forms at the end of the event. They use this information to tweak recipes and decide which items will become regulars on their menu. A lot of our work from various events like this is actually featured all over the walls of their main offices and consultation room, which is really cool. They also submit our images to Catersource, some have been featured in their national magazine and most recently in this blog post. 🙂

On 3/22, we photographed Stephanie & Adam’s stunning wedding & reception at the Indiana Roof Ballroom! Adam’s reaction to Stephanie during the private moment was priceless!! They’re super cute together and we loved taking pics of them around the IRB, Arts Garden & the Conrad. Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE beautiful uplighting and although the IRB is stunning even without it, I was blown away by the beautiful colors and the crystal back drop that Coby Palmer designed for them! 🙂 I also adored their custom monogrammed cake topper and their popcorn bar at the end of the night, guests loved it! Thanks for a fun time you guys!! More pics coming soon! 😉

On 3/16, we photographed Christina & Chaz’s beautiful Greek wedding at D’Amore & their reception at Sahm’s Atrium at the One America tower! Their church was under construction so the priest approved an off site ceremony at D’Amore and it was gorgeous! I loved all of their details…the dress, flowers, the fun socks that all of the guys wore, their cake, all of it was awesome! 🙂 I loved how they got married on St. Patrick’s Day weekend so when we got down to the canal for photos, it had been turned green! Love it! They had an adorable red & silver candy buffet which we used for cool ring shots of course and their guests loved the fun photo booth! They are such a cute couple together, Chaz even surprised Christina and SANG to her that night, it was awesome!! 🙂 Thanks for a fun day you guys!!
