Our friends at the Ritz Charles asked if we would like to set up a display table for their Bridal Experience Night on 5/9 and of course, we said, “yes!” 🙂 They do these showcase nights a few times a year for their booked brides where they showcase their venue & a few select, preferred vendors as well as various table set up display options and their cakes & catering. It’s a chance for brides to get new ideas, try their food & experience what the Ritz has to offer first hand. We set up several albums, canvases, an iPad display, magazine features and promotional materials and Wes from Event One DJs added uplighting to our display which really made it pop! (Thanks Wes!!) The Ritz staff created several beautiful table display ideas for their brides, the pink one was my fave, of course! 😉 Wes provided the entertainment, uplighting and photo booth that night, all of which were amazing. I LOVED all of the uplights around the room, I believe it truly makes a huge difference in your photos. (Brides, take note) 🙂 McNamara did a fantastic job on the flowers (thanks Alan for the pink arrangement, it still looks beautiful in our home!) and Oliver’s Twist set up a great display of their custom invitations and paper products that night. The plated dinners that the Ritz set aside for us to photograph looked SO yummy and you could tell that their couples really enjoyed the event. 🙂

On 4/30, we met up with Michelle & Jimmy at Crooked Stick Golf Course for their sunset engagement shoot! Several of their photos turned out to be some of my all time favorite engagement pics to date, and that says a lot! 😉 They were super cute together and fun to photograph plus they were up for anything, which I love. We played around with some fun ring shots, created neat photos out of golf balls that we used as props, photographed them around a gorgeous red barn and all throughout the golf course and then when the sun was just right, we went over to a particular spot on the course that was perfect for some fabulous sunset shots! It was a great shoot and I think they had as much fun as we did! 🙂

On 4/6, we photographed Genevieve & Patrick’s gorgeous wedding at St. John’s and their reception at Union Station! They were such a fun couple to photograph and I LOVED Patrick’s reaction to Gen when he saw her for the first time that day…soooo sweet!! 🙂 Genevieve’s parents were also married at St. John’s church so it was pretty neat to be able to photograph them in the exact spot where they said, “I do” as well! Genevieve & Patrick booked the Purdue train for their getaway vehicle and everyone loved it! They rode in it down to the monument and to the canal for photos and then back to Crowne Plaza so we could take some fun pics at the train cars that day too. The Grand Hall looked amazing, as usual, and I loved their beautiful cake and their food station set up for dinner. Guests were able to pick and choose their favorite foods and chefs were on site to prepare custom dishes for their guests, it was great! Their band was from Chicago and they were awesome!! I hope we get the chance to work with them again. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone loved their sparkler exit and carriage getaway at the end of the night. It was such a fun day! 🙂
