June 2013

On 5/28, we photographed some of the local menu items for Ruth’s Chris! I’m always flattered when restaurants and catering facilities see our quick food shots from various weddings and corporate events and then turn around and hire us to photograph their food, it’s happened several times this year already! I kind of feel like I’m the new “go to girl” for these types of shoots! LOVE it! 🙂 We’ve met some amazing chefs, been able to try some fabulous food and have gotten to know more local business owners in Indy which has been really neat. I was blown away by the attention to detail and presentation of each dish that we photographed for them. John & I will definitely be going there for a date night soon! 🙂

On 5/19, my youngest sister, Leah, graduated with honors from Cathedral High School and we had a big celebratory grad party on 5/25! I worked with a designer on Etsy to create a cute, grad-themed party for her, complete with matching signs, card box, guest sign in mat, senior photos, adorable party straws and we even bought her 2 cakes from Classic Cakes. She wanted to incorporate her dog into the party so one cake was a replica of Kramer and the other was a large dog bone cake! It was a huge hit! I even found dog themed ice cube trays and created ice cubes that matched her party theme! I love planning parties!! 🙂

Eileen from Chocolat Fountains provided the awesome chocolate fountain and both of my aunts worked with her to learn how to set it up and they got all of the food prepared to make chocolate covered fruit & goodies, everyone loved it! John helped by creating an awesome DVD slideshow which featured Leah’s favorite photos and music. My dad, step-mom & other sister, Mary, worked on all of Leah’s favorite foods, drinks & her party set-up, it was definitely a huge joint effort! 🙂 Leah said she had a great time that day and that guests were still talking about her party several days later! SUCCESS! 🙂 Congratulations Leah on a job well done & thank you to everyone who came to her party and helped make it a huge success! xoxo

On 5/11, we photographed Heidi & John’s gorgeous wedding at The Sanctuary on Penn & reception at the Omni Severin! I ADORED all of Heidi’s details…from the broach on her beautiful bouquet to their monogrammed petal aisle to the matching rosettes on the linens that matched their cake, I LOVED it all! They were such a cute couple to photograph together too! 🙂 Heidi kept surprising us throughout the day, she changed her hairstyle before the reception and then she switched into another dress toward the end of the night, I thought that was a really neat idea because now she has photos in several different looks. She also got John an IU groom’s cake and their guests were surprised with a dessert buffet, photo booth and pizza bar at the end of the night ~ love that!! 🙂 Thanks for a great time you guys!!
