July 2013

On 6/7, we photographed Megan & Jason’s fun wedding & reception at the Fishers Conference Center! We adore them so much…they actually have a really neat engagement story too, Jason actually proposed to Megan on WZPL, live on the air!! 🙂 (Jason, you set the bar high) 😉 You can view their proposal video online HERE!  Their wedding day was full of so much fun and laughter, you could really tell that everyone was excited and happy for them to tie the knot. They got ready at Hotel Indigo, which is a great spot for photos, so we took full advantage of that, and then we headed over to the conference center for the ceremony & reception. Their minister was the same minister that married Megan’s parents a long time ago so that was pretty neat for all of them to reunite for the wedding. When Megan and Jason and I first met, they were telling me how he is a big Skyrim player and how she has always loved fantasy stuff so he wanted to incorporate a dragon into their wedding cake somehow. She told him as long as it was pretty, she’d agree to it and Simply Perfection Cakes pulled it off! 🙂 They also surprised their guests during the father/daughter dance. Megan and her dad stopped mid-way through the song and broke out into a fast dance which everyone loved. It was such a fun day! Thanks for a great time you guys!!

On 7/20, we surprised my Aunt Brenda with a 50th Birthday party at my uncle’s house! After a day of pampering at the spa and a fun movie with my uncle, she came home to find about 40 of her closest friends and family members yelling, “Surprise!” in her living room! 🙂 She loved the set up, flowers, cake, catering, photo booth and all of the fun things that we helped plan that night. My uncle ended the evening with a firework show for her and we brought our sparklers for some fun photos at the end of the night. I think everyone had a great time! 🙂 Happy Birthday Aunt Brenda!!

On 7/19, we met up with Lindsay & Bobby for their gorgeous sunset engagement shoot at the Village of West Clay in Carmel. They are a super cute couple and they even had matching shoes for their shoot, so adorable! 🙂 The sunlight was PERFECT that night so we managed to get some fabulous sunset shots. Bobby is an avid golfer so we also incorporated some golf balls into their photo props for the evening! 🙂 Can’t wait for your September wedding!!

On 6/1, we photographed Angel & Gunnar’s beautiful wedding & reception in Hanover, Indiana! They had such a spectacular day, despite the on and off rain that day, we still managed to get a lot of awesome outdoor pics for them. Hanover is such an adorable, quaint little town and I loved it. Angel & Gunnar had fabulous personalized touches everywhere you looked, from the monogrammed flowers on the church doors to the vintage key theme that showed up in their invitation, place cards and ring shots, we loved it all! They were such a fun couple & they had a great wedding party who was up for anything, including several stops around popular Hanover locations for pics that day. 🙂 Guests enjoyed the adorable DIY photo booth that Angel set up for them, along with a candy buffet, a yummy multi-flavored cake and even a late night french fry bar, which was a huge hit! My favorite idea was that they had empty wine bottles labeled with certain anniversary dates on them. Guests filled out well wishes and advice for the various anniversary dates and stuffed the notes in the bottles for them to enjoy for years to come! Such a great idea!! Thanks again for a great time you guys! More pics coming soon! 🙂

On 5/31, we photographed Kim & Marvin’s beautiful wedding & reception at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. That was a rainy weekend for us but fortunately, we were able to squeeze some outdoor photos in for them! Kim made a lot of the flowers and decor herself and even surprised Marvin (who likes to fish) with a special fishing lure engraved with their names & wedding date on it. It was so sweet! Their friends and families were a ton of fun that day and they had such a sweet, personalized ceremony. Kim even kissed Marvin’s ring after placing it on his ring finger! How sweet is that?! 🙂 Thanks for a fun time you guys, more pics coming soon!!
