Last Saturday, John & my Aunt Mary did the 15K walk/run for the 500 Festival Training series downtown & of course, I was there to capture the event! It was a beautiful morning for a walk, although it was a tad chilly to start.  I surprised them by inviting the whole family to come down and watch them cross the finish line that morning, we had a great time! It was good to see our friend Terry Mautner from DJ’s Direct emceeing the event too! Later that evening, we went to Buca’s for dinner with our friends Melissa & Patrick. We always love hanging out with them, they are a lot of fun! All in all, it was a great day…next up for John is the Mini Marathon next month! Wish him luck!

Last weekend we had an awesome family outing at the Indy Zoo! Our friends at the zoo invited us out for a special behind the scenes look at their adorable walrus, Aurora! She was amazing!! She knows about 100 different tricks and she certainly put on a great show for us that day. Afterwards we stuck around and took some fun pics around the grounds…

This week, John & I went on a mini getaway for Valentine’s Day and stayed at the French Lick Resort! I wanted to post a few cool shots that we took while we were down there…

If anyone is thinking of having a wedding reception in French Lick, THIS SPOT would be AMAZING…just sayin!

John & I had a great time together, we exchanged some really awesome gifts, relaxed, went to a movie, ordered in room service and took photos around the grounds. It was the perfect Valentine’s Day getaway!

Last weekend, John & I went downtown to check out Super Bowl village and the monument, it was awesome!! I’m so proud of our city and everything that they’ve done to make the celebration over the top amazing! Of course, I loved it that the roman numerals turned PINK when I went to shoot them! It’s like they knew. HA!!

The Huddle had a neat Art Lounge inside along with tons of memorabilia, a chef’s station, newscasters & a big screen TV upstairs, it was really cool!

We loved the ice sculptures outside!

John even put an “I love you” message to me on the big JumboTron outside! He’s the best!!

We saw the zip line and astroturf field near the convention center…

I loved how they incorporated the Indy cars into the event!

We just happened to be standing at the perfect spot when a fireworks show began!

Love it!!

Congrats to the Super Bowl Committee for pulling off an AMAZING event & experience for all of us, you guys rock!

We wrapped our dog Buddy & mom’s dog Mandy in matching Burberry scarves! LOL Buddy just wanted the treat to follow, Mandy wanted a kiss!

Buddy LOVED his new toys, but especially the octopus toy that Aunt Mary got him!
