SET YOUR TIVOS FOR THE TODAY SHOW TOMORROW! DENIS REGGIE WILL BE ON!

Sometime around 9:02am, Denis will be shooting the Today Show wedding on NBC! He will be plugging the Lightsphere Photojournalist! (right on Denis!). I’m trying to FedX him a big garyfong.com t shirt but I don’t think he’ll get it in time.

He also said he’s going to tug his left ear as a secret code thank me gesture. Look for it.

So here’s Denis’ checklist:

1) When Al Roker says, what’s that thing on your flash, say, “Lightsphere at garyfong.com”
2) Tug on left ear

Good luck Denis! Don’t be nervous! 20 million people will be watching you!

Erin was the photographer for my daugher’s wedding in June. She is wonderful! Besides taking beautiful pictures, she is great to work with. Everyone felt very comfortable with Erin, Dianna and John.

Visit her website www.erinhessionphotography.com and click on weddings – there are samples of over 70 weddings to look at. She prints out a small portfolio of pictures at the reception that the bride and groom can take with them. She was my favorite vendor – we met her and booked her on the spot. She is easy to contact and responds quickly. She sends out weekly e-mails with the status of orders. We loved her!

I love hearing all of the positive feedback on theknot.com! 🙂

Photographer recommendation for Indy Brides!

My roommate was just in a wedding a few weeks ago and was very impressed with the photographer that they used. Her name is Erin Hession and her website is erinhession.com. I haven’t heard about her on here, so I thought I would pass her name on. I think she might be a little pricier than some…but the pictures are amazing, definitely worth it if you have it in the budget.

I haven’t been on here long enough to know who is who but am I the only one that think this sounds like a vendor posting? It sounds like it is an urban legend.

Jenniferryan,

Actually, unless she’s changed her name, that isn’t Erin. I was in a wedding a few years ago that Erin did and the pictures were fabulous. Erin does post on here sometimes, but not as a vendor – she was a recent bride. I’ve never seen her post anything about herself and her company – except one time when I was talking about a charity golf outing that I was throwing, and she told me she wanted to make a contribution (a few free photography sessions that we got to auction off!)

Anyways, just wanted to let you know that I think this post is ok … although I can understand being leary! The other day there was a dj on here who seemed to be annoying everyone!

Nope…don’t think it’s a vendor. Erin is an occassional lurker…but she never posts. I have seen her name recommended a few times, but it’s been awhile. She has a cool website though…love the journal.

Yeah we all know her here — she got married a couple of years ago so she was a Knottie bride as well… and she’s always been good about posting on this board as a bride, not a vendor.

No, I’m definitely not a vendor. I was just trying to help someone out because my roommate had such great things to say about Erin. My wedding is near Ft. Wayne so I’m looking for a photographer up there…I thought maybe someone else would like the info.

I’m using Erin Hession for my wedding in one month. She also did my bestfriend’s wedding. She has a great website and does nice work. She is also very nice!

Erin is awesome–I’ve been at two weddings she photographed, and they had incredible pictures. She’s very unobtrusive and has a 2nd shooter and her husband with her–they take like 2000 pictures. She printed some of the pictures and put them out at the wedding–very creative yet classic. She definitely isn’t cheap–I think close to 3000, but if you can afford it she’s worth it.

Brides & event planners, check out www.specialevents.com If you click on “Buyer’s Guide” at the top, it goes to a list of categories and their members are listed within those categories. Right now, I’m working on planning the NABBB $50,000 wedding giveaway (http://nabbb.com/media.htm) and while researching rental companies online, I found this site – it’s fabulous!! I was also able to narrow the vendors down by the state which helps too…give it a try!

Brides, I highly suggest that you have your florist make 3 extra boutonnieres for your wedding day – one for the groom and the other 2 for the fathers of the bride & groom. They will all be hugged so many times throughout the day that their flowers will most likely be crushed by the time the post-wedding pictures or the reception begins. Just remember to delegate that task of switching out the bouts to someone right before pictures after the wedding or before the reception!
