Don’t wear red lipstick on your wedding day or in your engagement photos. The pigments in the red lipstick turn a dark shade of black and will make your lips appear black in black & white photos!

Tip of the day – make sure you hire a professional make-up artist for your wedding day. The difference is night & day in pictures and they’re worth the extra $150-$200 you’ll usually spend on a good one. Finding someone that is trained in make-up for brides and commercial modeling is the best idea because they know how to airbrush or shade your face the proper way for better use of lighting in pictures. Another good idea is to find someone who comes to you that day so that you’re not stuck running to a salon…the artist we highly recommend is Karen Hall & Company.
