Karen Hall & Co. Photo Shoot
On Sunday, we had a fabulous photo shoot filled with fantastic up and coming make-up artists, models and hair stylists for Karen Hall's educational class photo shoot. We had the chance to work with some of our favorite models and we had a blast!! These were some of my favorite head/shoulder shots for the girl's portfolios…
As you can see, we have fun behind the scenes. LOL The girls were cracking jokes and making each other laugh for some of the photos. 🙂
I LOVED this blue wall…it was so perfect for this shoot!!
One of the looks for the photo shoot was a special FX look with airbrush application, pretty cool huh?

We all just adore Jade, isn't she adorable?! She has this Julia Roberts smile that just lights up the whole room! 😀
A thank you note from Cori & Lance…
I couldn't believe it, last night while I was downloading pics from this weekend's photo shoots, I received an e-mail from Cori! (Before I had even posted her preview pics on here) Check this out!!
"Hi guys, Lance and I are packing for the Honeymoon (which is a "go" – yay!) and we wanted you to know how much we appreciate all that you did for us on Saturday. First of all, thank you, again, for being the best Photography Dream Team on the Planet!! Today, we spent most of the day talking about highlights from our wedding last night… the carriage ride, Tim singing, our first dance and how good the pictures were, you had MANY compliments. Then, we went over all the things that went 'wrong'. I told Lance that I think you guys were really the ones who were keeping our wedding together when the wedding "coordinators" seemed to not know what was going on. Lance replied 'That's why we chose Erin', we smiled and gave each other a high five. 🙂 It was then that I realized that when we get our photos back, we will have a keepsake of all the good things that happened that day, the things we didn't see because we were so busy or were stressing out. Congratulations Cori & Lance!
On Saturday, we photographed Cori & Lance's wedding & reception at Valle Vista. They are such a sweet, fun-loving couple and I just adore both of them – and their kitties!!! 🙂 Cori surprised Lance with pictures from our last photo shoot with her where we took some cute pics of their kitties while we were shooting her bridal portraits and boudoir shots. Needless to say, I think he was happily surprised by ALL of the pics from that session!! 😀

This was SO cute…it was pretty warm out that day and of course, we all know that our fingers swell on hot days. So, we started to do their ring shots (before the ceremony) and they were afraid if they got them on, they wouldn't be able to get them off! LOL We all started joking that they could "put some Windex on it!" (from 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding') and we did a few alternative, cool ring shots instead, then did the usual ones after the ceremony. 🙂

Here they are after the ceremony with Gypsy, the horse from their carriage ride. We found out a few months ago that Gypsy likes mints so Diana gave them some of hers to feed him. I told her to make sure it wasn't the caffeinated ones! hehehe….

I nearly cried when I came across this shot. Her brother cried as he sang to her and their dad during the father/daughter dance and then Cori started crying…it was such a sweet moment between all of them.

2007 State Fair Pics…
John & I went to the State Fair on Friday, I think we've gone every summer for the last 7 or 8 years together. It's definitely one of our favorite things to do! We had so much fun checking out all of the animals, exhibits, playing games and eating fair food of course. LOL That llama took a liking to John, I think she wanted a kiss. 🙂 …..and here he is sharing his Pepsi….LOL (These were all taken with my tiny point & shoot)
I LOVE the photo exhibits of course (which you can't take pics of for obvious reasons) but I also LOVE the cake decorating exhibits. Since we see cool wedding cakes every weekend, I like to see what new and trendy designs are being shown in competition and this one won in my book. Even though these aren't wedding-related, I was totally impressed that these tiny purses were mini cakes with fondant!!! Can you believe that?!
My all time favorite fair drink….orange shake-ups!! Yummm…..
My all time favorite fair animals…the bunnies!! I LOVE the French Lop bunnies, they are my absolute favorite. This guy's name is Trey and I totally wanted to take him home. (John veto'd that idea…the kitties probably wouldn't like a bunny…LOL) He was so sweet and cuddly though…I took one with flash and one without, I'm not sure which one I like better so I posted both. 🙂

These guys were adorable too. John was so funny, he put his finger up to the side of their cage and they all started pecking on his finger…then they started fighting with each other like, "no, his finger is mine to peck!"
A new addition this year that we hadn't seen before….John tried it of course, I'm not one for mixing drinks…LOL

Last Thursday, we photographed head shots and studio pics for some of the radio hosts at WIBC. They were such a fun group of guys! Their new head shots will be on their web bios and in print as well as hanging on the walls of Emmis Communications soon.
