P.S.
NOW is the time to book outdoor portrait sessions for the next 7-10 days since the leaves are peaking!! 🙂 If any of you have thought about doing an engagement shoot, family portraits, pet portraits, or any kind of outdoor portrait session, please contact us ASAP to book your shoot this week while the leaves are looking AMAZING and they're still on the trees. 😉
Brown County in the Fall….
This Saturday was our ONLY Saturday off for the entire Fall this year so we took full advantage of it! 🙂 We rarely get a Saturday off (what do most normal people do on a Saturday?! LOL) so we booked a room in Brown County for Friday night so that we could spend all day Saturday walking the main street, shopping, looking at the beautiful leaves and enjoying a day off together. We knew it would be busy this time of year but we had NO IDEA it would be THIS busy!! Here's a shot I took from the street since many of the side walks were impassable…the crowd was huge, just getting lunch was a 2 hour ordeal. LOL
We saw a lot of people with their pets down there and this guy, "Sir Buffington" as his owner called him, was my personal favorite. 🙂 Isn't he gorgeous?! I had an awesome cocker spaniel that looked almost just like him when I was growing up…except ours was a girl (Abby) and she had adorable freckles on her nose…she was precious!!
After a few hours of shopping, John & I decided to head over to the state park to check out the leaves….he leaned over to kiss my cheek and he popped his foot, isn't he cute?! 🙂
Here's one of the amazing overlooks…
Some leaves up close…
LOL…we saw this van on the way to the overlook…the van kind of matched the scenery, don't you think?! 🙂
The most beautiful tree EVER!!!
An artsy shot of course….
It wouldn't be a Saturday without at least one ring shot!! Ours! 🙂 Now you know where I came up with my logo bling…
We went down to the lake and it was so peaceful there…
Then we stopped at another overlook and watched the most beautiful Indiana sunset that I've seen in awhile…
Valarie + Jeff = ENGAGED! (& Hunter is happy too!) :)
Meet Hunter…his mom & dad (Valarie & Jeff) are getting married a week from this Saturday and we can't wait to shoot their wedding! 🙂 Hunter is a great dog model and I swear he SMILES in photos, look at his cheeks…they turn upwards in pics, how cute!! LOL Anyway, on Sunday we photographed Valarie & Jeff's engagement session at Holcomb and Hunter came along for a few pics of his own and lots with his mom & dad. Valarie said Hunter has been through all of the Match.com guys with her and Jeff got his stamp of approval! 😀 LOL They all make such a cute family…here were some of my faves of Hunter…
So cute together!!!!!
Hunter doesn't have any bling but he was happy to add his paw to the shot…LOL
Hold on, got an itch…. 🙂
See? I told you he SMILES!!! 😀
Happy family 🙂
Jeff found this cool tree, good eye!! I felt like the paparazzi on this one…being sneaky…
Patiently waiting for his turn for pics again….
LOVE IT!! I love how the trees are starting to change at Holcomb, I can't wait until they peak!! 🙂
One tired pup!! Valarie said he went home after the shoot and drank some water and then slept for 9 hours! LOL I think we wore him out….all of that posing you know!? 🙂
Congrats you guys! Can't wait for your wedding next weekend!!! 🙂
Congratulations Kristen & Tony!
Last Saturday, we photographed Kristen & Tony's fall-themed wedding & reception at St. Bernard's in Crawfordsville. They had so many cool details to photograph and they are such an adorable couple, I just love them!! 🙂
Here's Kristen looking very model-esque….is that even a word? LOL
And the handsome groom…. 🙂
I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED their chocolate brown tuxes and awesome ties!!
A new perspective of the usual "kissing under the veil" shot… 😉
They had 3 (yes, THREE!) chocolate fountains – YUM!!! Tony really wanted chocolate fountains (milk, dark & white chocolate) and they were a huge hit! 🙂
Kristen and her friends and family helped decorate the hall and I LOVED all of the trees with white lights and the extra candle light in the background. I think that really makes the difference in great photos…when people think about adding extra warmth and lighting to a room…LOVE it!
At the end of the night, I found her sporting her new hoodie… 🙂 SO CUTE!!
(For some reason this shot uploaded out of order but you get the idea…LOL) :O
Had to add this one…LOL….I'm a freak for cute shoes, slippers, anything cute…so when Leah and I went out shopping the day before, I found these adorable slippers (I think at Victoria's Secret?) and John suggested we both bring our comfy shoes/slippers for the ride home. So after everyone left, I was quick to change out my shoes and Diana got a feet shot…LOL 🙂 Don't worry, I won't wear them to a wedding though…hahaha… ;p
Sister’s Day Out…
My younger sis (Leah) was off school last Friday and so we planned a much needed sister's day out! 🙂 Forgive the image quality on some of these….I took my "purse camera" (point & shoot) along for the day… 😉 We started out shopping at Clay Terrace…here she is trying on new clothes at Hollister…
And we made a trip to Vicky's…don't worry dad, neither of us bought this! LOL 🙂
And here's my fashion diva before buying out the Vera Bradley store…LOL
Then we stopped for lunch at Clay Terrace, followed by more shopping and a mini make-over…here's Leah looking very serious about her make-over…;)
And her "after" shot….she's so gorgeous, she looks like a movie star!!
Thanks for a fun day out, I love you!!! 🙂 (Mary, you're next!!) 😉
