December 2008

Earlier this month, we traveled down to Bloomington to shoot Brandi’s boudoir session at the new Homewood Suites hotel that just opened up. It was awesome!! She booked her session earlier this year and is planning on giving these to her hubby as a gift. He’s going to LOVE them!! 🙂

Oh la la!! 🙂

Isn’t she GORGEOUS?!?! She totally looks like Anne Hathaway, doesn’t she?!

LOVE IT!!

Brandi was so easy to photograph, we had so much fun that day!!

Another “Anne Hathaway look” 🙂

Thanks for a great time Brandi!! 🙂 More pics coming soon!!

P.S. If any of you have thought about booking a boudoir session to give to your hubby on Valentine’s Day, NOW is the time to book it!! 😉

Just a quick note to all of the brides who have inquired about our services for 2009 & 2010 – we will be updating our packages and pricing at the end of January (after the bridal shows) since half of 2009 is already booked up. If you are interested in reserving us for your ’09 or ’10 wedding, we will honor our current price list until the end of January and then our new price list will take effect on 2/1/09. This is a great opportunity for all of you to book at our ’08 pricing. 😉 Just wanted to give you a heads up on that!

I truly can not express my gratitude for all of you who continue to refer your friends & family to us…to already be half booked for next year is an amazing accomplishment, especially with all of the “economy talk” going on right now. I’ve talked to a lot of brides lately and they all still have “amazing photography” on the top of their wedding priority list, even if their budget is a bit tight. I am so lucky to be growing my company and continuing to thrive despite everything you hear on the news…and I have all of YOU to thank for that…so don’t worry, we won’t be increasing or changing our pricing around that much for next year….just enough to cover some increases we’ve incurred this year with our suppliers. 😉

Also, if you are a “blog stalker” of ours whose wedding date we already have booked for 2009, don’t forget that even though we may be booked for your wedding date, we can still shoot your engagement session, boudoir session and even trash the dress session after the wedding!

Speaking of trash the dress sessions…we were interviewed last week by the Carmel Magazine about our trendy trash the dress photo shoots, isn’t that cool?! They said it’ll be on the stands at the end of January for the February issue, I’m excited to see how it turns out!

And what’s a blog post without a photo?! 🙂 Since the Convention Center Bridal Show is coming up soon, I’ll post one of my group shots with all of the runway models from last year’s show!

(Hi everyone!! Can’t wait to see you all again soon!!)

Thank you to all of our friends, family, clients & colleagues for making 2008 another great year for all of us at Erin Hession Photography! Merry Christmas! 🙂

After Jackie & Jason’s engagement session, we headed south to Bloomington to shoot the Grazie Holiday Toga Party! Jim, the owner of Grazie, is a past client of ours….we actually photographed his wedding a few years ago so it was nice to see him and his wife Kara again. They sure know how to throw a fabulous party!! 🙂 Check out the amazing seafood bar on the ice sculpture – WOW! The ever so amazing Stephan Koch (who created the ice sculpture for our wedding!) did a FABULOUS job with this…brides, if you’re looking for an amazing ice sculpture, you HAVE to check out his work!!

YUM!! These were too pretty to eat… 🙂

They had amazing lighting around the club that night, I thought this looked so cool since it was held at the Bluebird night club! 🙂

Kara with her sister Kim and future brother-in-law, Steve! We will be shooting their wedding in 2009! 🙂

More cool lighting, LOVED IT!!

The band was from Chicago and they were AMAZING!!!

Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without a “best toga” award 🙂

Thanks Jim for a great evening! 🙂

Earlier this month, we photographed Jackie & Jason’s engagement session at the Children’s Museum, it was so much FUN!! Jason proposed to Jackie last Christmas so for their engagement photos, they thought it would be perfect to shoot at a location that had a Christmas theme. Check out some of our favorites!! 🙂

Look closely…yep, that’s her ring on top of the ornament he used to propose to her! 🙂

LOVE IT!!

LOL!!

The carousel room is SOOOO COOL!!! I had fun playing with various shutter speeds here to capture the perfect light, colors and speed of the carousel as it was going around…

We had quite an audience for this shot! We were actually IN Santa’s room at the museum with a million kids around us…I had them lay down on the floor to capture the snowflake lights and everyone was wondering what was going on & kept asking us if they were famous. 🙂 Yes, Jackie & Jason are famous to us!! 🙂

HOT!!

Probably one of my favorite “model” shots of the day…I noticed this gorgeous blue wall in a random nook of the basement of the museum….

Weeeeee!!!!! (Thank you to all of the people who let them cut in line for this shot!!!) 🙂

Thanks for a great time you guys!! 🙂
