December 2008

In the midst of all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, I’ve jumped on the bandwagon with many other amazing photographers to participate in the “Cans for Comments” project which is helping local food pantries this Christmas season.

Here’s the deal…for every new comment left on this blog from now until midnight on 12/25, John & I will donate 1 non-perishable food item to Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana to help feed the hungry.

We LOVE comments so spread the word & start commenting!! 🙂

Has it seriously been almost a week since my last post?! OMG. Where has December gone?! LOL Between packing, moving, unpacking, shooting, editing, finishing up Christmas orders, cards & shopping, my poor blog has been neglected a lot this month. But rest assured, we have plenty of fabulous posts coming soon…

Brandi’s boudoir pics…oh la la!

and Amy & Jed’s winter wonderland wedding that we photographed last night! 🙂

Let’s see…we can’t have a blog post without a pic so what pics should I post??? Hmmm…I know!! How about a few of the album spreads from John’s upcoming Christmas gift?! Luckily, he knows he’s getting a fantastic album from our 10 day WPPI Vegas trip that we took earlier this year so this won’t be a surprise to him, no worries… 😉

We are still living out of boxes this week and getting everything in its place but we got the keys to our new house on Friday and have been moving in all weekend! Before we moved in though, I took lots of “before” shots…I LOVE the color scheme, decor and all of the little extras in this home. John & I couldn’t be happier!!! 🙂

The famous green kitchen….yes, it’s staying that way! 🙂 I have big plans for this awesome kitchen!

Our screened in back porch…you can bet I’ll be working out here in warmer months! 🙂

Our master bedroom…it’s huge…even the fisheye doesn’t do it justice. 🙂 I love that we have ceiling fans in almost every room too!

The view looking into the retreat off of our master…it’s like a whole other living room!! 🙂

The pink bedroom!! You all know I HAVE to have pink in this house! 🙂

And bedroom #3…the blue bedroom…John’s hang out 🙂

Last Wednesday, our offer on a home was accepted and we closed this morning!! I can’t believe it. What a whirl wind of a month! 🙂 We’ve been looking at homes for a long time, seriously, this day was about 4 YEARS in the making…I am not kidding. We had a really bad experience a few years ago with the whole home buying process & nearly gave up. We knew that when we were serious about purchasing, we were going to be extremely picky and ask a lot of questions this time around…I kind of feel sorry for the people we hired because today went incredibly smooth and we closed SO QUICK that neither of us could believe it! LOL

Needless to say, John & I are SO happy right now. The movers come tomorrow morning and if all goes well, our internet should be switched over tomorrow evening. I don’t know if we’ll be fully “up and running” again but if so, I’ll post some more pics I took today before we started moving boxes in. Oh and a funny side note – I already know our next door neighbors!! How funny is that?! Our paths crossed about 10 years ago and now we’re neighbors…like I always say, “everything happens for a reason!” 🙂

I’d like to thank my clients for all being so patient during this process…I know we have a LOT of orders still to get finished up before Christmas and trust me, we’ll be shipping out as MUCH as we possibly can before then! My awesome team is working diligently to complete albums and reprint orders ASAP!! 🙂

Definitely worthy of a blog post! 🙂

I’m so excited!! It has been such a long process…we’ve been seriously looking at homes for almost a year. At times, it was so stressful and frustrating. I don’t see how some of my clients buy homes and plan weddings at the same time! LOL It finally all came together today with an accepted offer on a new home though so I think it was worth the wait. And yes, the interior has some pink & green in it if you’re wondering…LOL! 🙂 I’ll post pics once we get through the inspection and closing and everything. 🙂
