Congratulations Katie & Tom!!

Last Saturday, John & I attended our first wedding together as a GUEST, can you believe it?! LOL One of John’s friends got married and invited us to join their celebration and take a day off from “work”…but we quickly found out that I make a much better photographer than a wedding guest. 🙂 I was still there with my 85 mm f/1.8 lens playing paparazzi to get some extra candids and photojournalistic shots for the couple. It was hard not having a “front & center” seat for a change…a lot of shooting around heads and other people which I definitely wasn’t used to, that must be what our wedding guests feel like every weekend! LOL We had so much fun though and I was good, I only shot 254 pictures. (As opposed to the usual 1,000-2,000!) 😀 It really reminded me just how much I love my job though, wedding photography is in my blood, I don’t think I’ll ever retire. There is so much beauty and so many things to be photographed in a wedding day, and timing is everything…
One of their flower girls, isn’t she adorable?!
It started snowing, so I thought a cool infrared B&W shot as they were leaving would be perfect!
And another favorite shot, fisheye behind the couple’s sweetheart table
The back of her dress…LOVE IT!!
Flower girl waiting for her cake…
And nailing the perfect shot. 🙂 I shot most of their first dance from the balcony so I was out of Nate & Amanda’s way (their photogs) and at the end of the first dance, Tom picked her up and swung her around, it was so cute!
