April 2007

We've already had almost 5,000 hits since the website went live just a few weeks ago from over 600 unique, local visitors! I'm sure it's a combination of vendors and brides checking out the site, but we are so excited at the positive feedback we're getting from everyone again…A Classic Party Rental is helping us out with the rentals again, some of the musicians from Alair will be in attendance, Sound Spectrum is planning on attending, as is Karen Hall and Company and many others! We added a few more vendors to the site this week who recently sent in their booth registration information to Allisonville Nursery so the spots are starting to fill up fast!

The Resort at Singer Island opens today and it looks gorgeous! My dad has been working on this condo project for a few years now and the Grand Opening is scheduled for today!! I remember flying down there during the construction process and taking pictures for his portfolio of the building and of the West Palm Beach & Singer Island area and I was definitely impressed. The shopping on Worth Avenue is fabulous and the resort sits right on the beach. They have an 8,500-square foot spa, marble baths, full kitchen, private balcony, flat screen TVs, Butler service, an ocean side eatery, snorkeling, cabana rentals, outdoor heated pools, 5 restaurants and lounges on site and plenty to do in the local area! It would truly be the perfect vacation or honeymoon getaway.

Our unit is #1502 and they are now accepting reservations online, click HERE!

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend, I know we did! We had the weekend off (I’m assuming not many brides decided to get married over the holiday?) so we picked up my younger sisters on Friday and had a girls sleepover Friday night. We went shopping first and then met John for dinner after he got off work, then went to see the movie “Are We Done Yet?” which was pretty funny. The girls came back and spent the night at our place and stayed up watching movies and making brownies for Sunday’s family gathering. On Sunday, we went to my mom’s house to visit with her and my grandparents and then we stopped by my aunt’s house in the evening to see my dad’s side of the family. Here’s a cute shot of my youngest cousin, Anna…she’s so adorable!
And here’s a shot of my aunt’s newest family member, Minnie, eyeing the ham. 🙂 She apparently helped herself at the dinner table before we got there! LOL She took my uncle’s ham off of his plate when he wasn’t looking.
“Please someone drop another bite!”
Here she is getting kisses from Mickey…they were instant friends when they first met each other.
And here’s all 3 of my aunt’s furbabies…Minnie, Ollie & Country. They are all rescued greyhounds and they are so sweet and spoiled! 🙂 They have their own sunroom and toddler beds with their own toys. Life doesn’t get much better for retired racing dogs!

I was finishing up photoshopping Tiffany & Donnie’s wedding pics last night and ran across this shot. I had forgotten all about it…this little guy saw all of the grown men placing their dollars in her dress and thought he’d do the same! LOL I love her candid reaction too. 🙂
