June 2007

Courtney & Tom were married this past Saturday at Carmel United Methodist Church and their reception was at the Ritz….two great venues to photograph! Their families were SO nice and wonderful to work with and it was truly a perfect day all around. Chuck from Allisonville Nursery did a fabulous job with their flowers and decor. The Ritz did a great job with their cake and catering, and the Indy Express band kept the dance floor packed all night! For their out of town guest bags, they had Jones soda bottles made with our photos from their engagement session with them (thanks for saving me some samples Courtney!) which made for some great pictures and there were so many great details to photograph the whole day. I hope you’re having a blast on your honeymoon!! 🙂 More pics to come soon…

I just finished up photoshopping all 2,300+ pics from Lori & Kyle’s wedding. Whew! 🙂 I guess my philosophy is that I’d rather have too many pics to show than not enough. LOL Anyway, here are few more favorites from their wedding day. I love how you can see the word “dramatic” in the opposite corner of her shoes.
We were shooting Lori’s dressing room pics in the church nursery and Melissa (one of my side-shooters) noticed these pictures that were laminated of various shapes hanging from the ceiling…I LOVED this one showing her diamond next to the “diamond” ….good eye Melissa!!
And a dramatic one of the groom…and then the bride…I loved the lighting in the foyer that day, it was amazing.
And a cool B&W of her tiara & veil…
Loved the flowers!
Gotta love a little flare…with some cross processed action going on….
The sky was SO blue that day!
I love this one too…it looks so old fashioned once I ran the cross processed action on it!
And yeah, we stopped traffic for this one…
Sometimes it works out well when a guest’s flash goes off at the same time! LOL
The timing was perfect on this one…we didn’t know they were going to dip at the end of the song but we positioned ourselves to get the usual hug or kiss after the first dance and instead, we got this shot! High fives all around after that one…:)

As most of you know, I've been working on updating our overall look and marketing pieces lately to try to represent our work better and to show how much fun we all have every weekend at weddings! My logo was redone in May and we started on developing a cool new website to match the new logo…then we finally pinned down the colors for our upcoming office renovation project. I'm horrible when it comes to choosing paint colors…LOL…I have quite a past at choosing the same shade of "Barbie pink" so it'll be interesting to see if I finally got it right this time. ;p (It always looks different on those swatches, ya know?) So our office is being re-painted THIS week and we're adding some awesome decorative crown molding with base trim and this adorable chair rail that is just too cute. I'll post a pic when I'm done "Erin-izing" it. 😉 I'm so excited!! I've attached the new logo above. Hopefully it shows up pink & green on everyone's computer…

I received this e-mail today from Sara, our 5/19 bride…just wanted to share….

"Erin, Erin, Erin… you have made my day! The picture collage is beautiful!! I can't stop emailing the link to people. All of the pictures are so awesome and they really capture the essence of that day for Nick and I. Thank you so much for everything! Your whole team was so helpful, friendly, and easy-going.
I told Nick before we even started planning this wedding that pictures were of the utmost importance to me because they will capture all the memories and feelings of that day, forever! You certainly made that happen with these pictures & I haven't even seen a fraction of them! I'm sure the rest will be just as amazing… thank you again, so much!
Sara "

Thanks Sara!! I'm glad you love the pics…many more awesome ones to come! 🙂

Last weekend we had a blast photographing Jody & Tim’s 50th wedding anniversary family portraits at Woodland Country Club…the kids were all so much fun and loved to be photographed which made our jobs easy! 🙂
I told these two adorable boys to make silly faces for me and this one was too cute…
This little girl was adorable!!! After we finished the group shots, we started taking a lot of candids of the kids and I caught her on the putting green wearing her dad’s coat, looking cute as ever!
With very stylish shoes I might add….
Best friends forever….
