Melissa’s family pics…
Many of you know my fantastic side-shooter, Melissa!! Well, we went out to the Village of West Clay last week to shoot some recent family pics for her…she has the sweetest family and adorable kiddos!! 🙂
See?! How cute is THAT?!? 🙂
LOL Jackson (their youngest) is two and he just wanted to do his own thing that night….we got some pretty funny pics, including this one…
So sweet….
Maddie, Melissa, Patrick & Jackson = one big happy family! 😀
Apparently they tried to do family pics at Holcomb Gardens last year (with a tripod/timer) and Jackson fell in the water…so we were wondering if it may happen again! LOL He seems really intrigued by the fountains!
Awwww, aren't they cute together?! 🙂
Michael (Melissa's brother) was playing "fly baby" with Jackson…here's my view: (loved her dad's expression in the corner)
And John's view! Jackson was loving it!!
And Maddie thought it was pretty funny….isn't she sweet? She looks SO much like Melissa!!
Precious!!
By the end of the evening, I think she was done with photos…LOL
Jackson let us take one more of him next to the "Jackson Circle" sign – cute!
Thanks for a great time guys!! (And for the gift card and cake, you totally didn't have to do that but we'll enjoy a date night out soon!!) 🙂
Summer Bridal Show 2008
On June 1st, we produced our 4th bridal show at Allisonville Nursery! It was AMAZING…we had so many talented vendors and hundreds of people come through the show that day. It was hard to shoot around the crowds but I managed to get some great detail shots before and during the show…
Any of you who have had us photograph your wedding know that we bring EVERYTHING with us on the wedding day in our emergency kits. John & I decided to make up a few small emergency kit baskets for the vendors and the brides that day. 🙂
And any of you who have exhibited at one of our shows know that we feed our vendors well!!! 🙂 I managed to get some shots of our hospitality room set up before everyone found the food. LOL
Mom & Melissa tag teamed the water, food & trash duties – thanks ladies for your help!! 🙂
OMG…this was the line about 45 minutes before the show started! I was about to wet my pants I think…LOL (BTW, Lydia – is that you in the purple shirt?!) 🙂
Holy Cow, Cupcakes! made their first bridal show debut that day…check out the baby cakes, aren't they cute?!
Amanda (another former bride of ours) is friends with Karen and she helped at her booth that day. I loved her shirt, it said "Focus on school. Get good grades. Eat cupcakes." LOL Karen wrote such a sweet testimonial for our show on her blog, click HERE to check it out! 🙂
Nora & her crew at the Central Library brought some amazing appetizers for our brides….
Posie Patch brought in some stunning gowns!! WOW
And here's Chuck, showcasing one of his orchid bouquets. I LOVED it!!
The line at Chocolat Fountains was always long…but well worth the wait! 🙂
And a few hours into it, the crowd thinned out so I was able to take a shot or two of my booth set up…everyone loved the table runners with matching pink & green carpet! 🙂
Here's dad helping at registration – thanks dad!!
And I had to include a shot of our adorable pink & brown paper lanterns…we had to rent a scissor lift at the last minute to get them up there but they're so fun and I think it was worth it!! 🙂
And a shout out to the crew at Beach Bum Vacation!! 🙂
LOL The girls thought this would be funny…LOL…poor Robert 🙂
4 posts in one day…:)
Well, I'm feeling a little more productive…I edited 150+ blog images yesterday and plan to post 3-4 new posts a day for the next few days and then I'll be caught up with blogging – yay! 🙂 John & I were up until 3 a.m. working on blog pics and organizing images in various folders on the hard drives last night. OMG I tallied it all up after getting the folders organized and I have 50,000 images to go through from the last 27 shoots (about 8 weeks worth of shoots) …..so yeah, I'm a tad busier than normal. LOL Has anyone else had an insanely busy shooting season?!! It's definitely a good problem to have but there are days that I certainly wish I could clone myself!! ;p
Carmel Farmer’s Market & Holy Cow, Cupcakes!
On 5/31, John & I photographed the grand opening of Holy Cow, Cupcakes! at the Carmel Farmer's Market. We had so much fun and of course, bought a few cupcakes for the road. 🙂 (The "Sean" and the "Edie" cupcakes are AMAZING!!) You can visit their booth every Saturday morning at the market from 8-11:30 a.m. but they tend to sell out quick so the earlier you get there, the better!
We brought Karen a "congrats" card on the official start of her business that weekend…
And she's already been nominated for the A-List!! Can you believe that?! Voting will start earlier this year than what it was last year so we'll be posting about that in the next few weeks too…
Mayor Brainard was on hand for the ribbon cutting to celebrate the 10th anniversary opening of the Market!
YUM!!!
Look at the line at the Holy Cow, Cupcakes booth!! I think they had one of the longest lines I've ever seen there…
Karen & Sean with their cupcakes! Aren't they adorable?! Many of you probably recognize them from their wedding album sample that we made that ended up in After Capture magazine. 🙂 They're famous!! 🙂
Congrats you guys!! See you again real soon!!! 😉
Samantha + Aaron = ENGAGED!
On 5/28, we were finally lucky with the weather and ended up with a gorgeous night to do their engagement shoot downtown!! 🙂 Check out the bright blue sky and beautiful back lighting, loved it!!! Sam & Aaron are so cute together and so photogenic, I know their wedding will be a blast! 🙂
I love her "Julia Roberts" smile 😀
Favorites!! We walked up by the Government Center and took a series of fun pics…
And guess what?! John took this one!! LOVED IT!! He had this shot in his head so I gave him my camera and he posed them and everything…Melissa and I were impressed! LOL 🙂
Thanks for a fun shoot guys! More pics coming soon! 🙂
