January 2009

Last weekend, we photographed Brittney & Andrew’s wedding & reception at St. Andrew’s in Indy! We had such a great time with them, they are so laid back and such a fun couple! April helped Brittney with her day of coordination (and helped her with the dress, as pictured above) and did a fantastic job coordinating so many last minute details with us. Brittney & Andrew were originally planning for a Summer wedding this year but found out that she is being deployed soon so we all worked together to pull off this fabulous shindig in less than a month, can you believe that?! 🙂 As always, the details were amazing…

I LOVED her dress!

And the flowers were FAB!

Brittney was such a beautiful bride! 🙂

Her only request was that we get a shot like this….

John’s view from the choir loft…

SNUGGLE!!! Love this pic….makes me want to go cuddle with my hubby 😉

After the ceremony, we took the wedding party outside for a few fun pics…here is my version of this shot:

And John’s version…LOL!

Then we drove over to Marian College nearby for some neat outdoor pics…Melissa or Nichole got this one of me shooting 🙂

Loved this one…

They saw this shot that we’ve done at other winter weddings and wanted to replicate it…so much FUN!

LOL!! Very “American Gothic” looking….

Loved this one too…they remind me so much of me & John when we got married… 🙂

The reception decor looked awesome!! Full length linens + chair covers + awesome centerpieces = amazing pics!!

Loved their cake too! YUM! Sugar Mamas created this cake…

Love, love, LOVE this one!!

Melissa is probably going to hate me for posting this! j/k 🙂 But seriously, isn’t she adorable!?!? She’s due at the end of this month and she’s still side shooting with me…talk about dedication!! LOL We’re shooting her maternity pics tomorrow and I can’t wait!!! We’re going to miss her while she’s on maternity leave but she’ll be back soon and we have plenty of people covering for her! 😉

Speaking of babies…check out this funny shot! (“Forget the toys, I have to text my friends!”) LOL

They departed in style after a quick clothing change….

John’s view of their grand exit….

My view…. FAVORITE shot of the day I think! April, can you leave a comment and tell us what you used to make the confetti look like snow?!?! AMAZING!!

LOL!

Thanks for a great time you guys!! Hope you had fun on your honeymoon this week!! 🙂

John & I had such a great Christmas this year. We had the chance to hang out with our families & have Christmas in our new house…it doesn’t get much better than that! 🙂 Here’s a shot from Christmas morning at dad’s house!

John & I in our cute Santa hats! 🙂 …of course, mine was pink! LOL

My step-mom, Kitty, showing off her cute collectible that she wanted this year…

Then we headed to mom’s house that afternoon for Christmas with her side of the family…Mandy was SO excited to see what she got! LOL

What would Christmas be without the new peppermint cupcakes from Holy Cow, Cupcakes?! 🙂 YUM!!! John & I brought some over to dad’s house & mom’s house this year and they were a huge hit!

That evening, my grandparents came over to our new house for the first time so we took some pics in front of the tree…

Then the next day, we did our annual carriage ride downtown and stop at The South Bend Chocolate Company! Mary & Leah posed for a quick photo…

John & I got our usual…they have the BEST hot chocolate EVER!

My favorite shot of dad this holiday season! 🙂 …..love the green Santa hat with the shamrock, it’s SO him!! 🙂

And to wrap things up with our “Cans for Comments” project, we bought over 50 cans to donate to Gleaners this week! Thanks to ALL of you who participated in our charity project this holiday season!! 🙂

That’s a LOT of food to help feed the hungry! 🙂

We hope you all had a great Christmas & New Year’s!! 🙂

On 12/19, we photographed Amy & Jed’s gorgeous wedding & reception in downtown Indy! Amy is a huge ChapStick lover, so we added her rings on the ChapStick for a clever dressing room ring shot that day. 🙂 She also has great taste in shoes…check out these fabulous Coach boots that she wore, LOVED THEM!!

The flower girl was SO cute…when the hair stylist started brushing and spraying her hair, she knew exactly what to do…

Amy looked so pretty!! Kiralee did her make-up and she looked fantastic!!

Here’s our handsome groom, Jed…

Told you she looked gorgeous! 😉

I LOVE Winter weddings!! 🙂

John got this shot from the balcony…loved it!

And I got this cute one of the flower girl waving to everyone during a prayer! LOL

Speaking of which, check out this awesome hand made sleigh that the flower girl rode in on!!

The reception was at Crowne Plaza’s Grand Ballroom at Union Station and all I can say is WOW!!!! Jeanne Milan from A Touch of Milan was her coordinator and put all of this together, she did a great job!!

I LOVED the little white twinkle lights from the huge tree in the reception hall & Heavenly Sweets did a great job with their cake!

The details were amazing…

Their first dance was on the platform above the hall with all of their guests watching from below…

After that, they cut the cake and the flower girl was anxiously awaiting her piece! LOL

After dinner, we snuck out for a few photos outside…

They are HOT!!!

I LOVED all of the dramatic light here!!

They are so sweet together… 🙂

Thanks for a great time you guys!! More pics coming soon!! 🙂
