March 2009

I was just looking at our 2009 calendar and we have a few random Saturdays that are still open in prime wedding season this year (April-October). We’ve had a few couples whose dates have changed due to military obligations and some random Saturdays that just weren’t very popular so I just thought I’d throw this info out there for anyone who hasn’t set a date yet or who is still looking for a photographer for one of these prime dates – we’re open! 🙂

April 11 & 25

May 23

July 18

Aug 8, 22 & 29

Sept 12 & 26

Oct 31 (costume wedding, anyone?) 😉

We are so excited!! The new SummerBridalShow.com website is now LIVE so vendors who would like to participate in our upcoming show at the Mansion at Oak Hill can CLICK HERE to fill out their booth application online and brides who would like to attend the show can CLICK HERE to receive FREE admission!! We have so many fantastic vendors already signed up for this event, we can’t wait! 🙂

Now is the time to book it for Spring & Summer!! We sent out an email to our clients a few weeks ago encouraging them to book their sessions ASAP since our portrait schedule fills up quickly over the Spring & Summer months. If you included an engagement session in your package but haven’t booked it yet, please contact us today to get on our calendar. If you’ve been thinking about booking a session with us, you can CLICK HERE to view our portrait session info and to book it online. We still have some availability to shoot engagement sessions (or other portrait sessions) on the following dates this Spring & Summer:

March 21st (one opening available)

April 19th & 26th

May 3rd & 31st (limited availability on the 31st)

June 7th

July 5th & 19th

Aug 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th

Why schedule an engagement session? There are lots of reasons! It gives us an opportunity to work with our clients before the wedding, you’ll have pictures to choose from for your engagement announcement in the newspaper, and if you buy the CD of all of your images, you’ll also be able to use them in your invitations, programs, sign-in mat, guest book, slideshows, etc. Many of our clients say they don’t even remember the last time they had great pictures taken together so this gives them a fun opportunity to have us capture their love for one another before the big day! 🙂

Last Sunday we photographed our 1st Karen Hall & Co. class photo shoot of 2009…the coolest thing about this particular class was that all of the models were previous clients of ours in some capacity!! We photographed Serena’s senior pics last fall (above model)….isn’t she gorgeous?! And here’s Tenille, another previous client of ours, who is now a famous model for Target and one of the TV shopping networks! 🙂

I don’t think Serena ever takes a bad picture! LOL After some casual looks, we went for a soft rose petal look with her…

Deborah, a new wedding coordinator in Indy, came in for a few quick head shots for her new website…I can’t wait to work with her & collaborate on some weddings together!

Tenille’s 2nd look was a hair & make-up “beauty” look…

I think I like the black & white one the best though, what do you think? 🙂 She’s so pretty!!

Tiffany’s first look was casual, to show off her fab hair & natural looking make-up!!

Serena’s 3rd look was a fun “hot for teacher” type of look…lol…

She pulled off this look perfectly!!

Tenille’s 3rd look was a commercial “Oil of Olay” style of look…we like our models to have a lot of variety in their portfolios and to really show off what they can do so sometimes we throw in some “action” looks like this…she did a fantastic job making this look pretty!

Tiffany’s 2nd look was an orange & pink look to accentuate her gorgeous eyes & lips!!

And her last look was my favorite for the day! This was her “steamboat punk” look and the funniest part was that after the shoot was over, she got pulled over by a cop on her way home!! LOL!! I bet he was afraid to write her a ticket?! 🙂

She pulled off this look perfectly too!!

Thanks everyone for a great time that day, more pics coming soon!! 🙂
