Courtney & Tom…
We photographed Courtney & Tom’s engagement pics at the monument on Sunday…they were such a great couple and they even brought their furbaby, Jeb. He was hilarious!! (seen above, being a rebel…LOL)
Jeb didn’t want to look at the camera…he was way too excited about the new people to see and the horse drawn carriages going around the monument. I was determined to get him to look at me for at least one shot – so I put the fisheye lense on and put it right up to his nose and got this one….:)
Welcome to the family…
On Sunday, we photographed my aunt’s newest greyhound, Minnie. She was very photogenic, although very tired at her photo shoot. 🙂 The day before the shoot, my aunt took her to get bathed at a hydro-spa for dogs. (How cute is that?!) She got pampered and massaged that afternoon and she’s been enjoying her new home with her two brothers ever since she set foot in the house.
Emily & Trennen…
Congratulations Michelle & Jeremy!
We photographed their wedding & reception last Saturday at the Geist Clubhouse and it was gorgeous! They had candles set up along the fireplace mantle, vibrant red roses with white stephanotis, and Michelle looked so beautiful….Karen Hall & Co. did her hair & make-up that day and did a fabulous job, as always. 🙂
Their caterer was really unique and set up a “sweet treat” tray at the reception which everyone loved…it was like their own dessert bar next to the plates of cake and everything looked so good. We were so busy that day that we didn’t get a chance to try any but we got pictures of course!
Congratulations Katie & Tom!!
Last Saturday, John & I attended our first wedding together as a GUEST, can you believe it?! LOL One of John’s friends got married and invited us to join their celebration and take a day off from “work”…but we quickly found out that I make a much better photographer than a wedding guest. 🙂 I was still there with my 85 mm f/1.8 lens playing paparazzi to get some extra candids and photojournalistic shots for the couple. It was hard not having a “front & center” seat for a change…a lot of shooting around heads and other people which I definitely wasn’t used to, that must be what our wedding guests feel like every weekend! LOL We had so much fun though and I was good, I only shot 254 pictures. (As opposed to the usual 1,000-2,000!) 😀 It really reminded me just how much I love my job though, wedding photography is in my blood, I don’t think I’ll ever retire. There is so much beauty and so many things to be photographed in a wedding day, and timing is everything…
