Mexico – Day 1

116.jpg

We went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a week last month and although I'm a bit behind with blogging (trying to edit weddings, meet with new clients, prep for shoots, the usual) 🙂 I wanted to post some Mexico pics since everyone has been anxious to see them. Some of these first few ones from the first day weren't that fab since they were taken with my little point & shoot digital (yeah, I still carry one of those around too…it's not nearly as bulky and easier to whip out of the purse!) Anyway, when we got off the plane, we literally walked down the stairs on the tarmac to load into a bus which took us 50 feet to customs. LOL We were all looking at each other like "what?!" After getting through a long line at customs, we finally got our luggage and headed for a cab. Once we arrived at the resort, this guy welcomed us with champagne and a cold mint-smelling washcloth to freshen up…nice touch. 🙂

Here's my youngest sister, being the diva that she is….LOL

After dinner, we headed back to our room and noticed a crowd gathering at the front of the resort. There were dancers and a fire show going on…pretty cool shot!

They had candles lining one side of the restaurants that looked awesome at night…

Then we got back to our room and found this creature stuck to our ceiling! LOL Usually I think geckos are cute but not this one…he was massive and you could kind of see through him. Yuck. John scared him off and I never did see where he went after that. :O

Erin, I will freak if I see one of these on my ceiling in Cancun … maybe he crawled into your lost luggage?! Ha!
