Mexico – Day 2

On Day 2, we hopped aboard a tour bus for a city tour….some of these pics were shot through the bus window, like the one above. This will make you appreciate all of the modern day comforts we sometimes take for granted! Everything was very different in Mexico, that's for sure!

Here's a mural that was painted in their city hall building…

My sister pointed out the tattoo parlor in front of the church! :O

Does anyone know what kind of vehicle this is?

Meet Niki & Gary! In the middle of the city tour, everyone stopped to go in this jewelry shop but after awhile, we got a little bored so John & I walked outside and saw this adorable couple (who was on our tour bus) posing for pics for each other. Well, I remembered back to our honeymoon where we barely had any pics of the two of us together since it was JUST the two of us there and I asked them if they wanted some cool photos while we waited for the rest of the group. We did a mini photo shoot right there on the spot, it was a blast!! I took some pics with their camera, then lots with mine…in fact, I took pics of them during lunch and along other spots on the tour just for fun. I love my job so much! I wish I could follow my clients on their honeymoons! LOL 😀

Textiles from the flea market…

A local artist hand paints (actually it's more like finger paints) these beautiful pictures of Mexico on ceramic tiles. I bought two of them while I was there, one for us and one for my dad but neither of them made it through day 7. 🙁 (More on that later)

We stopped for lunch at this outdoor restaurant where these musicians went table to table serenading everyone…

This was a painting on the wall that I thought was cool…an optical illusion! (See the two faces?)

I LOVED the vibrant colors everywhere….

Wow. I went into this outdoor-type restroom (we'll leave it at that) and this sign was on the wall. :O Yikes…I think I can hold it. LOL

After lunch, the tour guide took us to a tequila factory. None of us really drink so it was kind of funny. Along the way though, I noticed all of these random dogs laying on the side of the street…I wanted to rescue them all! (I took these pics through the bus window…)

More cool architecture…

When we got back to the resort, the cab driver let us out by a nearby fountain with flowers and I noticed this little guy running around. He posed for a photo. 🙂
