Trash The Dress Ideas Contest!!

One of our recent brides (Keri) wants to do a fun, girly, trash the dress session with ALL of her bridesmaids involved too!! How cool is that?! But, we need YOUR HELP! She wants to do something different, but isn’t opposed to getting wet. We’re trying to think of GIRLY & FUN ways that she could trash her dress. She doesn’t want to roll around in paint or change the oil in a car or anything like that though, and she plans to try to sell the dress afterwards, so that does limit what we can do to some extent.

So I thought we’d have a blog reader participation contest and let Keri pick the winner! Email me your ideas at [email protected] by 7/31 and we’ll announce the winner on 8/1. Our winner will receive a $100 gift card to use on any of our services! GOOD LUCK!! 🙂

How about baking/cooking? Maybe decorating cookies, flour fight, etc.

Or, spa-like activities: mani/pedi, facials . . . you could even do a “slumber party” type feel with her bridesmaids, maybe have a pillow fight (how cool would pics be with feathers flying around?)

If she’s into shopping w. her bridesmaids, maybe shoot her at an outdoor mall (Metropolis in Plainfield or Clay Terrace) – not so much “trashing” the dress, but it would be unique.

    How about washing her dog?

How about a story progression.. The wedding party ( in full regalia to be authentic–shoes, bouquets, etc.) has to take a boat or canoe ride because they are “stranded” And of course the boat begins to sink—slowly. They look at first panicked, then excited as they realize they are doomed to a soaking and “swim” to shore. There the groom and others are upset with them for “ruining” their dresses–and they are pulled in too.

Since you don’t have dogs, you can borrow mine. They need a good bath: )

I still want to do the pedi/mani one. Just b/c I want another spa treatment!

Or…this is my real entry, a park. We could be swinging, sliding, etc.

There is a new, REALLY COOL, splash park in Zionsville that is very colorful with lots of really neat (and pretty) features, like a GIANT (I mean like 12 feet tall) sunflower that sprays water, as well as really pretty river stone “lazy river”.
I took a bunch of pictures of my son there 2 weeks ago, if you’d like to see them.
