July 2009

On 7/5, we photographed Kaylie & Aaron’s engagement session at monument circle…they are so cute together and they LOVE to LAUGH together, which I LOVE!! 🙂 They also have an adorably sweet pup named Malone that joined them for the photo shoot…so cute!!

Yes, Malone is SO well behaved and will do anything for a treat! 🙂

Feeling the love!! 🙂

Such a precious face!!!

Loved this one…wouldn’t this be a cool canvas print to hang in their home?!

Loved it!!

Thanks for a fun time you guys!! More pics coming soon! 🙂

On 7/3, we photographed Christin & Justin’s FUN wedding & reception at Indian Creek Christian Church & Adaggio’s in Greenfield! We started out at Christin’s mom’s house for some of the getting ready photos…Marcy is an Area Manager for Arbonne so I got some product shots for her! Her whole dining room table was filled with beautiful make-up for all of the girls!! 🙂 Christin is so sweet & thoughtful…as I was going room to room shooting details and candids, I came across the card she gave her parents and a father of the Bride hat she gave her dad!!

Isn’t she gorgeous?! Loved the “bride” shirt she made…

Christin & Justin are big Red Sox fans so Marie Frey, her coordinator, made these garters for her!!

And we found out that Christin had bought her dad’s cool cufflinks!

Loved her flowers!

Christin & her maid of honor, Jenny!! Jenny & I went to high school together and reconnected at a bridal show last year when she went with Christin to the show! (Hi Jenny!!) 🙂

GORGEOUS!!!! Another bride who needs to model, don’t you agree?! 🙂

I asked the kids to kiss each other on the cheek (usually one of them will do it and the other will be shy about it) but these two both did it at the same time and ended up on the lips! LOL They’re so cute!!!

Our handsome groom, Justin…

They had a candle light ceremony, it was beautiful!

FAVORITE!!! I can totally see this as a panoramic spread in their album…maybe with some pics along the top? 🙂 Yes, I’m always shooting with the album in mind!

John’s view from the balcony…

Ever get the feeling you’re being watched?! LOL

Another fun wedding party!!

Now that I know Christin found out about this story, I’m probably ok to post it. 😉 About 30 minutes before we were supposed to start on the guys pics at the church, Diana and I were in the dressing room with Christin and my headset was acting up. (We’re all wired up with ear pieces and radios so that we can all be “in the know” even when we’re not all together in the same room) So, about the time I’m fussing with my ear piece, Diana was getting a message from John, who was setting up in the sanctuary & she had this look of panic on her face. She took me in the hallway to help with my ear piece and tell me what was going on because I had missed John’s message through the radio.

Apparently, the guys weren’t even at the church because they were at Circle Center mall downtown getting Christin a new wedding band because one of the groomsmen LOST THE RING!!!! (Not kidding) Of course, I was like “OMG!” but then remembered that we have fake wedding rings and bands in our wedding emergency kit…all in various sizes too, so no biggie, I had it covered. 😉 By then they had found a replacement ring though and now they were going to be late to the church…so we met with Marie (their awesome coordinator) in the hallway and she said that we all need to come up with a plausible story to tell Christin so that she wouldn’t panic because the guys weren’t going to be ready in time for pics. (See, this is why you hire true professionals who work together and don’t let you stress over anything on your big day!) 😉 Marie said she was going to tell the girls that the guys had a flat tire and were running late so we could start with the girls photos first.

Everything went off without a hitch from there on out and the guys made it in time for pics just as we were finishing up with the girls…isn’t that funny?! Apparently, this story made it on the air waves in Chicago last week and if Justin sends me the file, I’ll add it to this post…I’d LOVE to hear this from the guy’s perspective!! So yeah, here are the gorgeous rings they ended up with on the day of the wedding…. 🙂

They’re so adorable together…

A quick toast before the reception…

Amazing Cakes by Millie provided their cake and she did a great job!!

Loved the “bling” 🙂

Christin is a teacher so we thought this was appropriate 🙂

Can I just say that I LOVE working with video light?! Love it!!

At the end of the night, they surprised all of their guests with a fireworks show…it was awesome!!

My favorite part of the night…showing my clients their preview pics before they leave for their honeymoon!! 🙂 We always give them a folio of 8 sample pics they can take with them on their wedding night!

Thanks for a fun time you guys!! More pics coming soon! 🙂

On 6/28, we produced our 6th bridal show and had a great time as always!! Due to our ever growing RSVP list, we moved our show to The Mansion at Oak Hill and it worked out great!! Hundreds of brides came to the show and I actually had vendors asking to sign up for our holiday show before this one even ended, what an awesome testimonial! 🙂

Just before the doors opened, I took some quick photos of the booths and our set up…here are my parents working the registration table… (Thanks again for your help!! XOXO)

Here’s the spread of food in our vendor hospitality room…we like to feed our vendors well because it’s always a long day. (Yeah, we spoil them!! 😉 This was one of 4 tables of food and drinks available to them, just to give you an idea)

Our EHP booth….

The Beach Bum Vacation ladies!! They are so much fun to hang out with! 🙂

Elise chilling out at the tiki hut…if you haven’t booked your honeymoon yet, definitely check out Beach Bum Vacation!!

Have you thought about where you’ll board your dog(s) when you’re on your honeymoon?! If not, check out my aunt’s all suite dog retreat! CLICK HERE!!

Chuck from Indy Floral Design created some gorgeous bouquets for our strolling fashion show…

Karen Hall & Company did a fantastic job with the hair & make-up for the strolling show!!

Two of our models, Lensi & Crystal together for a quick photo…all of our models looked amazing!

And last but not least, the brand new product we launched at the show!!! Many brides are familiar with the signature mat concept but we wanted to do something a little different and truly customized…so, we’re introducing our new 18×24 gallery wrapped signature canvas!! 🙂 You can customize the size of the inner photo, we can use an image from your engagement session that we took or someone else took (provided you have copyright release of course!) and the cool thing is that you can also customize the border color to match your wedding colors! The sample shown is in standard white but you can customize it to fit your theme. The best part is that it’s ready to hang as soon as you get home! The signature canvases will be $399 but we are offering $100 off as our bridal show special until August 4th – regardless if you made it to the show or not. If you are interested in ordering one, email me at [email protected] (Please allow at least 3-4 weeks for delivery)

On 6/20, we photographed Nicole & Eric’s awesome wedding & reception at St. Simon and The Hilton! Check out Nicole’s gorgeous dress and train! Stunning! 🙂

The weather was SO PERFECT for outdoor photos that day…we couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Nicole is an art teacher and loves anything artsy, cool or unique…I knew she’d love some fisheye shots, infrared pics and artsy angles… 🙂

Her parents own the Home Video Studio company so you can believe there were tons of video cameras there along with all 3 of us shooting…it was pretty funny! I bet they felt like celebrities all day! 🙂 (BTW, are we on YouTube somewhere? Just curious…) I’d love to see how your video turns out!!!

YAY!!

They had such a fun wedding party!! They were up for anything!

After we finished pics at the church, they followed us over to the dock at Bella Vita…loved this one…very “Abbey Road-ish” 🙂

Loved this one too…

Check out how low the dock was on the water! I totally thought they might go in during this shot! LOL

Bella Vita opened a new beach bar area that is awesome!

Melissa took this one on the deck…loved it!!

Taylor’s did a great job with their cake!

A little bubbly… 🙂

Some funny toasts & reactions…

Nicole made all of her favors by hand (being the art teacher she is!) so we thought it would make a cool ring shot…

Dancing with dad… 🙂

Thanks for a fun time you guys!! Glad you had fun in Sanibel on your honeymoon!! 🙂 More pics coming soon!

On 6/16, we photographed Jennifer & Juvenal’s wedding & reception – yep, it was on a Tuesday!! How awesome is THAT?! 🙂 They had a very small, private wedding at Avon Gardens with their closest friends and family in attendance, then a dinner reception at Eddie Merlot’s afterwards. Jennifer got ready at Hotel Indigo in Fishers that morning and since Mother Nature didn’t want to cooperate with us, we ended up doing almost all of their pics inside the hotel – which was AWESOME!! The decor is young, funky, hip, modern…perfectly fits my style. 😉 Here’s a shot that Melissa got in the dressing room…loved it!!

McNamara did her flowers and did a great job!

Hotel Indigo had so many unique things in their lobby that worked perfectly into their photos…like this album that was sitting near the front desk…

And these cool bamboo centerpieces in the cafe!

Karen Hall & Company did Jen’s hair & make-up…she looked AMAZING!!

She has such pretty blue eyes! The blue wall just made them “pop” even more! 🙂

I loved all of the natural light and hardwood floors…next best thing to outdoor photos if you ask me! 😉

Pretty blue eyes just like his momma!

We headed out to Avon Gardens for the ceremony…

FAVE! 🙂

Then over to Eddie Merlot’s for a YUMMY dinner!! John & I definitely plan to go back there for a date night soon…

Classic Cakes did an amazing job (as always) with their cake!

Loved the centerpieces!!

Loved this one…Marcia was the maid of honor and was soooo helpful all day, she ran all kinds of errands for them & saved the day numerous times…..so yeah, she deserved lots of hugs & kisses!! LOL

Thanks for a fun time you guys!! More pics coming soon! 🙂
