February 2009

I am so excited!! I ordered these 4 portable studio backdrops last night and can’t wait for them to arrive soon! If anyone wants to do an in-home shoot, we can now bring a studio to you! (CLICK HERE to view a sample shoot using the portable backdrop system) 🙂

I purchased black, white, pink & blue – perfect for kids, pets, maternity, babies, boudoir, models, head shots, ANYTHING! 🙂 This will be great because now we won’t be so weather dependent and location dependent for our photo shoots. A lot of people worry that their homes aren’t “boudoir worthy” or “photo shoot worthy” and now they don’t have to worry about that! 😉

Of course, we still offer our usual “on location” shoots too…at parks, homes, special locations, etc. but now you have the option of us bringing the studio to you at no additional fee if you’d like, just let us know before your shoot!

Yesterday was my uncle’s 50th birthday!! My family got together and planned a surprise party for him at my aunt’s house & it was a lot of fun! Here’s Aunt Therese and Mickey hanging out before Uncle Tom arrived…I think Mickey was ready for some cake! 🙂 (And yes, my sisters painted her toenails pink! LOL) 🙂

Uncle Tom thought he was dropping off my cousins for an overnight at my aunt’s house – that was the story anyway…when he walked in and everyone yelled “SURPRISE!” he realized what was really going on! 😉

Here’s dad taking pics of me taking pics 🙂

After dinner, my sister helped my aunt set up a FaceBook page for her new Canine Retreat kennel!

And here’s Rudy, one of my aunt’s dogs who was also waiting on a piece of birthday cake I think! Ha! 🙂

I took a few pics of her new dog kennel before we left that evening…Canine Retreat is a luxury dog boarding facility set on 8.5 acres in Westfield, IN.

Each suite is very spacious and includes a comfortable toddler bed for the furbabies!

If you or someone you know has a 4 legged friend who needs a warm, safe, friendly place to stay while their owners are away, email Mary Hession at [email protected] for more info! 🙂

Last week, we photographed David, Becky & Chad of The Dream Home Company! (CLICK HERE to check out their current site!) They were in need of some fun, non-traditional and approachable looking head shots and group shots for their new company website. We had so much fun with all of them!

David had a buddy who wanted to join him in his photo shoot! 🙂

Becky is so pretty!! We actually photographed her son’s senior pictures last Fall, remember Jay? 🙂

Love these black & whites! 🙂

Thanks for a great time you guys, enjoy the pics! 🙂

I wanted to post some pics from the Convention Center Bridal Show and send a “thank you” out to my whole staff who helped behind the scenes and to my friend Crystal whose wedding we photographed in June…she brought her album to the show and was our “on site testimonial” bride! 🙂 Thank you to all of you for your help!! 🙂 Here are some fun runway fashions that caught my eye this year…I think they were going for the bright, vivid colors and more of a tropical theme since destination weddings are popular this year.

I LOVED this red bouquet of feathers, isn’t that COOL!?

Barb’s gown looked gorgeous!

Karen Hall & Co. did a fantastic job with all of the models hair & make up and Indy Floral Design did an awesome job with all of the bouquets!

Speaking of Indy Floral Design…check out Chuck’s booth! WOW!

I love all of the bling in this bouquet!

I didn’t even realize it until I got close to take this shot but this bouquet is actually silk! When someone can make silks look real, you know you’re working with an AMAZING florist! 🙂

I loved these blue & purple trees with hanging candles…so elegant!

Remember Melissa’s maternity photo shoot from a few weeks ago? Well, she had the baby on Monday!! YAY! 🙂 It was such an exciting day for everyone…Patrick kept us all updated via text, email & FaceBook – as shown above! 🙂 I stopped by Cookies By Design and picked up a goody basket to take down to the hospital with me and the cookies were a huge hit!

We couldn’t have timed it any better…she had the baby right as I was pulling into the parking lot so as soon as I got upstairs, I found out it was a BOY!! They named him Mason Steven, he was 8 pounds, 12 oz and 21 inches long. Everyone did great!!! After they cleaned him up, they invited us all in for photos…here’s Patrick’s mom holding her grandson…

And Melissa’s mom holding him…

BIG YAWN!! 🙂

Proud grandparents! 🙂

Melissa’s dad holding Mason…

Then it was Uncle Michael’s turn…

Vicki & Erin posing with him…

I love this one!! Melissa is such a great mom…you can tell she just adores him! 🙂

Here’s the crowd heading to her postpartum room…

Maddie & Jackson got to hold him and check out their new little brother!

Jackson announced that Mason “looks like he’s going to throw up!” which sent the room into laughter! 🙂 LOL! Such a “Jackson-ism”…

Awwww!! Daddy & son together… 🙂

Proud new parents for the 3rd time! Isn’t Mason ADORABLE!?

Meanwhile, Jackson & Maddie enjoyed their cookies!

Then Mason had to go to the nursery for a little bit…

Jackson took pics of his new little brother…

Patrick watched as the nurse took Mason’s temperature…

And Maddie wanted to see what was going on too…

LOVE THIS SHOT!! Definitely a favorite! 🙂

Kissing mommy!! 🙂

Congrats on baby #3 you guys!! We love you!! -E&J
