July 2013

Earlier this year, a brand new website emerged in the Indy bridal marketplace called IndyBride2B.com! We were approached by the Founder about being a Contributing Editor for their blog and happily accepted the challenge! 🙂 So far, we’ve covered topics like Tips for a Successful Engagement Session, How to Get the Best Sparkler Effects in Your Photography, What is an Unplugged Wedding, and most recently, The Benefits of Having More than One Photographer at Your Wedding! Make sure you check out those links among the many other awesome, relevant articles posted weekly on their blog. 🙂

On 7/3, we met up with Courtney & Audrey (one of our past wedding clients from about 4 years ago) to photograph them with their new baby Ryan! Ryan is so adorable and was SO cooperative for his first photo shoot! 🙂 We managed to get so many super cute shots of him and he had the most facial expressions that I’ve ever seen from a newborn! So cute!! We got some adorable detail photos of him, his Winnie the Pooh themed nursery, his favorite stuffed animals, an awesome cross stitch blanket that Audrey made for him, and we even got quite a few pics of their other 3 “furry kids” who wanted to make sure they were included too! 😉 Thanks for a fun time you guys!! More pics coming soon!

On 6/18, we met up with Emily & Tony at the Rathskeller & the monument for their awesome engagement session! (Some of you may recognize Tony since he’s one of the fabulous DJ’s from Event One DJs!!) 😉 It’s always a huge compliment when someone in the wedding industry hires us for their wedding and/or portrait session. We’re soooo looking forward to their wedding next February! 🙂 They’re both into theater and they actually reconnected with each other at the Rathskeller one night (which launched their relationship) so it became the perfect venue for some of their engagement pics. They’re also Dr. Who fans so we incorporated some fun props into their photo shoot there. After we finished at the Rathskeller, we headed down to the monument for some fun pics around the circle. Emily brought some other cute props with her, including a chalkboard for their save the dates, a suitcase for their travel-themed wedding and Scrabble pieces that we used for some cute ring shots! We had a blast with them!! 🙂 Thanks for a fun time you guys, more pics coming soon!

I haven’t posted many personal shoots on here lately because we’ve been so busy with client work but I thought I’d post a few collages from Father’s Day since it was such a fun day! We met up with dad at church that morning and then headed back to his place to Skype with Mary (my sister who is studying in Russia) then we all went out to lunch and then went back to the house for gifts, cards, dessert and some family time. It was a fun day & dad really enjoyed it!! 🙂
