July 2013

On 6/13, we met up with my friend Kelsie and her fiance Kirk at Holcomb Gardens for their fun engagement session! Kelsie & I go WAY back…like elementary school!! 🙂 When she contacted us about shooting her engagement & wedding, I was super excited! Kelsie has such a great style and taste about her so I knew her sessions would be fun and beautiful. Can’t wait for your wedding this weekend you guys!! 😀

On 6/13, we met up with our friends Amy & Paul for their fun engagement session in Broadripple! They have such fun, bubbly personalities so I knew we were going to have a great time that day!

Amy has been following our work for YEARS so she was super excited to be in front of our cameras. She actually became friends with my husband John when they worked together several years ago, but since I have a hyphenated last name, it wasn’t until they connected on Facebook that she realized that I am his wife and she had been following my work all along! It was so funny! We all became fast friends after that! 🙂

I brought some of our fun photo booth props (that I purchased for our vow renewal) with me that day because I knew they’d have fun with those props during their shoot. We photographed them around several cool places in Broadripple and we even stopped by Starbucks and the Snow Shack for some cute pics! They’re huge Pacers fans so they went with blue & yellow snow cones and then switched into their Pacers shirts at the end. Thanks for a great time that day!! More pics coming soon! 🙂

On 6/12, we met up with Kristin & Kyle for an AWESOME engagement session at Lucas Oil Stadium! They’re both huge Colts fans, they have season tickets and they know some special people in the organization so when they said that they’d gotten clearance for us to do their shoot on the field, I was SO excited! They even had special save the date jerseys made for the occasion, which I loved!! When we arrived, we were surprised to find out that it was the night of the Colts first practice in the stadium so although it was pretty packed in there, we were literally steps away from all of the players on the field during this shoot which was pretty awesome! It’s definitely a shoot that I’ll never forget!! Thanks for a very cool & memorable shoot you guys!! 🙂

(I’m blogging a little out of order this week because we had SO many portrait shoots in June mixed in with the weddings so if you’re waiting on your wedding post, just know that it’s coming!) 😉 Anyway, on 6/12 we met up with Melissa & David (whose awesome wedding we photographed a few years ago!) and their 1 year old son, Evan and their cute pup, Sullivan! Evan was SO good for us that day, even though Melissa said that he hadn’t had a nap before we got there that afternoon! I think he was ready to party!! 😉 We started with some pics in their backyard and then went inside for his first cake smash pictures! I brought a little cake with me and Evan wasn’t quite sure what to make of it at first but quickly realized that he liked it! Happy 1st Birthday Evan & thanks for a fun time you guys!!
