In Nikki’s words:
How did he propose? “When we were at his parents house for a few days, we decided to go canoeing. He proposed in the canoe, which I almost flipped over when he asked! LOL We got back to shore and he got one knee and asked again in front of his parents.”
What was your favorite wedding moment? “My favorite wedding moment is when Matt started to break down crying while announcing my pregnancy!”
What was his favorite wedding moment? “His favorite moment was when we said ‘I Do’ ”
What was the funniest wedding moment? “The funniest wedding moment is when one of the groomsmen lead us all in the chicken dance with chicken gloves! He was drunk and took it so seriously! Lol”
What was your first dance song? “Our first dance song was ‘Hooked on a Feeling’ by Blue Swede”
Where did you go on your honeymoon? “We rented a very nice cabin near Yellowstone.”
What advice would you give to future brides? “The best thing you can do is nail down all of your major vendors early. I enjoyed the process much more than other brides I know because I had all of my vendors in the first few months! Also make a comprehensive timeline! Include everything you can think of and all of your vendors. The day will flow much better that way!”

In Laura’s words:
How did he propose? “Brett proposed on our 7 year anniversary. We went to Baltimore to the national aquarium and then back to Wilmington, DE for dinner at our favorite fish restaurant. We came home and he proposed then. I had previously mentioned to him I would not want a public proposal 🙂 ”
What was your favorite wedding moment? “My favorite wedding moment was sitting at the sweetheart’s table together. It was the first time Brett and I actually got to talk to each other all day, even if it was only for a few minutes at a time.”
What was his favorite wedding moment? “Brett’s favorite wedding moment was watching me walk down the aisle.”
What was your first dance song? “Our first dance song was Eric Clapton’s ‘Wonderful Tonight'”
Where did you go on your honeymoon? “We went to the Dominican Republic for our honeymoon at Sanctuary Cap Cana. (Highly recommend!!)”
What advice would you give to future brides? “I would say to not sweat the small stuff. Something will inevitably go wrong, but you will be too focused on having the time of your life to think about anything negative!”

I’m super proud of my baby sis, Leah, for graduating with honors from IUPUI with a degree in psych and a minor in criminal justice this past weekend! She’s worked so hard and I know she’s going to have an amazing career in front of her! 🙂

Who is ready for Summer MINIS?! I am! Mini sessions are perfect for quick, updated family photos, engagement pics, head shots, maternity, baby, children, senior or pet photos! Due to our busy Summer wedding schedule, we won’t have a designated weekend for Summer minis this year so we’ve decided to book them on an individual basis, either before or after other shoots that are already on our calendar.
