Happy Birthday John!
I know this is a belated b-day post since his b-day was on 8/7, but I had to post some fun pics from all 3 of his celebrations! 🙂
My mom & grandparents and I took him out to the Cheesecake Factory for his b-day and we all had a great time!
Then on 8/6 at 11:54 p.m, I was like a giddy schoolgirl waiting for him to open his present on his b-day. 🙂 That night, I grabbed my little point & shoot digital camera when I was in my pj's and made him open his gift early…I bought him a new Toshiba laptop! He LOVED it!! His web design and consulting business, Inspire Media, has just taken off like crazy the past 2 years and he was in need of a faster computer that he could work on outside of the office so this was the perfect solution. Our kitties bought him the wireless mouse and mouse pad of course. 🙂
Then a few days later, we celebrated his b-day with my dad's side of the family which was fun! He's like me, we both LOVE chocolate cake….yummm!!!
Make a wish….:) Happy Birthday!! I love you John!!! XOXO
I had to share these two pics too, although they probably look a tad out of place. The night of his party, we did a mini photo shoot with my sisters for a new client that I'm working with. This client sews custom pillows, embroiders towels and blankets and makes amazing gift baskets. Well, after we got done doing some product shots, I took a few of Leah & Mary by themselves…I can't believe how grown up they are! Leah was sporting her tiara that she wore from when she was the flower girl at our wedding 4 years ago! LOL (It worked well with my client's "Princess" pillow theme) 🙂
Love you girls!! You two are the most beautiful sisters ever!! 🙂
Congratulations Gold #5….two years undefeated & untied in Notre Dame Stadium!
Some of you probably remember last year's blog post about my dad participating in the Notre Dame Fantasy Football Camp. Well, on July 4th we headed north to South Bend again for another awesome game and even more great memories. Check out some of my favorites! 🙂 Since Rocco's was going to be closed on 7/4, John & I had dinner with my aunt and my sisters at Rocco's the night before dad's big game. They have the best pizza in South Bend and now dad's picture from last year's game hangs on their walls next to Lou Holtz, Frank Leahy and other famous ND coaches and players!
It rained early that morning but cleared up in time for all of us to head over to the stadium…
Since we got there early, I pulled out my fisheye and snapped a few cool, unique pics of Touchdown Jesus…
Here's one of my beautiful sisters, Mary…
John got a shot of my nails…:) Last year, my sisters painted their nails blue & gold for dad's game and so the day before we left, I had a few minutes to run over and get my nails filled and when I got there, they had a new shade of blue polish…so, what the heck, I went ahead and painted them blue & gold. 😀 Of course, the lady at the nail place probably thought I had lost my mind. LOL Oh, by the way…if you look closely, you can see where the logo bling idea came from. 😀 My e-ring is a heart shaped diamond…unique and girley, John did good. 🙂
We had Mazda Signs in Carmel print up this 30×40 in. banner for dad before we left and they did a fantastic job!! We surprised him with it that day after he came out onto the field for practice…he had the best looking sign of course….;)
(Rudy theme song playing here….) 🙂
#7 on the wristband, in memory of dad's friend Arty, who played for the NDFFC last year…
Us pros rarely get our pics taken…LOL…here's one of Mike, the official NDFFC photographer…he's a great sports photographer and the official Notre Dame football photographer too. I talked to his wife for awhile during half time and she's so nice!! He stays with the guys from the day they arrive until after the game so he's able to get a lot of behind the scenes shots that I love…and I'll be buying more this year I'm sure! 😀
Gold team won 21 to 0!
After the game, we all had dinner in the President's VIP box upstairs. It was delicious and the view was incredible….here's my favorite shot of dad taking it all in. I don't think he knows we got this shot…:)
Autograph time!
Congrats dad, we love you!!!
Congratulations Leah!
My baby sister participated in her first horse show July 1st. She did an AMAZING job and we're all so proud of her! She and her horse, Thumper, were quite the team that day as they ended up with 5 ribbons for her first show! WOW!!! She received 1 blue ribbon for the walk/trot competition….1 blue ribbon for walk, trot, canter and two 4th place ribbons, one for crosspoles and one for low fence. She won All Around Grande Champion of her division in her league. Here are a few of my faves….
I think Thumper thought my camera was food. 😀
He's blushing…:)
Favorite!
This shot meant a lot to me…when she first started riding, I took a picture of her walking out of the barn with the horse next to her. Here we are a few years later…same shot as a silhouette with her show ribbons in hand. I love you Lebe!
