Karen Hall & I spent the afternoon at my aunt’s house last Friday for her professional photo shoot. She needed new headshots for her business cards (she’s a Realtor for Century 21, check out the Hendrick’s Team’s website by clicking HERE!) and she also wanted some pictures of her with all 3 of her furbabies together. Karen did an amazing job with her hair & make-up and the dogs were very cooperative, but exhausted after their photo shoot. 🙂

Here she is with all 3 of her furbabies. 🙂 I was able to get them to all look my way and perk their ears by simply meow-ing like a cat! LOL I guess it sounded a little too real but it worked.

A lot of people know us exclusively for the wedding & event photography that we do, but not everyone realizes that we also do a lot of portrait work when we're not out shooting weddings! 🙂 Since we work with so many awesome vendors in the "wedding world" we started to realize that we all cross over in other markets together very easily, one in particular is the senior portrait market. Although some schools require their students to go to one specific studio in order to be included in the yearbook, a lot of students don't realize that many photographers (like us) are more than willing to take their senior portraits to the next level by doing on site photo shoots, providing hair & make-up services, albums, etc.

We teamed up with S&K Men's Stores, Five Star Limo and The Florist at Allisonville Nursery this week to create a promotion for local high school juniors & seniors. Select students at various high schools were invited to wear S&K's tuxes to school for the day to show off what fabulous tuxes they have and they were given a prom promotional packet to hand out to students going to prom…this included information on Five Star Limousine's stretch Hummer limo, The Florist at Allisonville Nursery's available corsages and our senior portrait info. Throughout the week, I went to various S&K locations to photograph the participants in front of the limo and at their school, it was a blast and the guys all had so much fun!!

Last Friday, we photographed Century 21’s awards banquet at Valle Vista in Greenwood. Terry Rake from Indy Events Management Group always does such an awesome job coordinating their events and themes for each banquet. This year’s theme was “Around the World” and they reserved the entire 2nd floor of Valle Vista to accommodate all of the agents in attendance. Each corner of the room represented a different part of the world (Paris, Italy, Morocco & Tokyo) complete with themed table settings, a french pastry chef, an Eiffel Tower replica, a belly dancer, and women in costumes. It was so awesome!!

This weekend we photographed an awesome corporate party at the IMA with event coordinator, Terry Rake. They had a “casino night” themed event and one of our favorite bands, the Fabulous Imports were there performing for the event too. We loved these cool light up cups with candy that she used as favors!!

We photographed Circle K Midwest’s Holiday Party this month and had a blast!! They are SO much fun to work with, they’re definitely one of our favorite corporate clients. At every event, they stage the room thematically (which I love!) and bring in props to match the event’s theme. This year’s theme was a Holiday Toyland event…complete with “Elves Ltd” toy manufacturing in one corner and wrapped gifts as door prizes for the attendees. They bring in a live band and DJ at every event and entertainment which is always fabulous. Last year they had a comedian, this year was a hypnotist and it was hilarious!
