Fashion & Modeling

Last Sunday's fashion photo shoot was awesome. We ordered in pizzas for everyone, Karen Hall & Company's staff and students worked on all of the models (hair & make-up) and our Style Director, Suzy Shelton, did an awesome job putting together the overall looks, themes and clothing from various fashion designers. I could literally post hundreds of my favorites but in the essence of time, I've chosen about 2 dozen of my favorite shots to share here. 🙂 I've also posted an online slideshow with more of my favorites of the various models, designers, looks, etc. CLICK HERE!
I loved these looks….very Southern Living-like. 🙂
A little wind action in the hair…
And here's Erin, one of my brides from last year modeling the "baby doll" themed look…she pulled this off SO WELL!!
And some fun ones of Jade in an edgy bridal look. People were literally stopping and honking their horns at us during this shoot, they thought she had just gotten married…it was hilarious!
Very retro-looking….
I played around with a few versions of this in photoshop…I loved this one too!
And this one…
Very Marilyn Monroe-ish. 🙂
We told her to jump up in the air for a few shots and this was one of my faves of that series…
Chuck Eaglin from The Florist at Allisonville Nursery did all of the bouquets and florals for the photo shoot….he's so amazing!!
I stopped a horse drawn carriage coming around the corner to get this shot…looks very 1920's to me. 🙂 (And the horse didn't seem to mind…LOL)
And now on to my personal project…the pink themed shots…these were my all time favorites of the day. Jade pulled off this look so perfectly too…
This one (below) belongs in a magazine…I think I'm going to submit some of these to some fashion magazines because they were just too awesome. 🙂
She looks like she's trying to stop the paparazzi, I love it!!!
Could pass for a nice boudoir shot…
And another one of my favorites!

I’m so excited that I can hardly wait to finish editing some new fashion pics!! I hope I can get to sleep tonight…LOL After going to Matthew Jordan Smith’s seminar about showing more of your personal work (he’s one of the photogs for America’s Next Top Model and spoke at WPPI in Vegas) I started working on a personal project that consists of a collection of photos with the theme “everything pink”…most of you know how much I LOVE the color pink so we incorporated that theme into one of the models looks during the fashion photo shoot we did last Sunday. I love how they turned out…we have a fabulous Style Director that we work with on these shoots and she’s great at turning concepts into reality with the use of the right models, clothing, props, etc. Stay tuned for some awesome new fashion/modeling pics!!

Last night we photographed the runway models for Midwest Fashion Week with Gaby & Catou. They are both incredible designers and it was fun to see some other photographer friends as part of the paparazzi. Karen Hall & Co. did an amazing job with all 40+ models hair/make-up for the show…I love shooting fashion/models/runway because it’s all so extreme and thematic.
Preparations….

Runway show…And of course, a shot of Joe, one of my models…
