Fashion & Modeling

As most of you know, we're in the running for Indy's Best Photographer from WRTV's A-List (how cool is that?!) and I checked the current standings last night as well as the comments on my nomination, they were just incredible…

April

"Erin is so talented. She truly has an eye for capturing emotion. Her photography is second to none. "

Sara Anderson (Moore)

"They did an amazing job with my wedding pictures and they are so great to work with! They deserve it!"

Brianne Irwin

"Erin is absolutely amazing. Her creative eye and touch is outstanding. She is the photographer for my wedding on Oct. 6th. I loved Erin's work so much that I knew that I wanted her as my photographer before I even meeting her. After meeting her, I can't wait till my wedding because she is so professional, passionate for photography, and most importantly dedicated to her clients, which goes a long way. I definitely think that Erin deserves the award!"

Emily

"Erin and her crew photographed my wedding and did such an amazing job I cannot put it into words. They captured every moment and then some. It was fun looking at the pictures because they captured things that I didn't know were happening. They were able to fix every little thing that went wrong and helped get people where they needed to be. They are the best. "

Lori

"We couldn't have asked for a better photographer; our pictures are amazing!"

Lydia

"Erin is so easy to work with. She has an amazing eye and just knows how to read a moment. She captures feelings in her photos."

Anonymous

"Erin and staff are not only produce great photography, but they are fun to work with and take care of you on your wedding day! "

Thank you to ALL of you who have voted for us and especially for those of you who left these wonderful comments, you made my night last night!!! ….off to this weekend's weddings! Check back next week for some awesome images from today and tomorrow's weddings! 🙂

The Indy Channel A-List Nominated: Best Photographer in Indianapolis

On Sunday, we had a fabulous photo shoot filled with fantastic up and coming make-up artists, models and hair stylists for Karen Hall's educational class photo shoot. We had the chance to work with some of our favorite models and we had a blast!! These were some of my favorite head/shoulder shots for the girl's portfolios…

As you can see, we have fun behind the scenes. LOL The girls were cracking jokes and making each other laugh for some of the photos. 🙂

I'm interrupting my Mexico blog posts to make a quick announcement! LOL Jessica Claire has been one of my favorite fellow photographers for awhile now and some of you whose weddings we've photographed recently have seen me sporting my new, snazzy Shootsac, one of her new products that I LOVE! It arrived while we were in Mexico so my first chance to use it was at Chelsea & Paris's 7/28 wedding in Ft. Wayne. (Since I'm trying to blog in the order of our events – and I'm up to 7/20/07, I haven't had the chance to show these pics or tell the story behind all of them yet but I'm getting there!) Anyway, on the day of their wedding, we parked at the Hilton across the street from the Embassy Theater, where our couple was getting married that day, and as we were walking through the garage tunnel, I looked down and saw all of these pink flamingos at the garden next door! I literally started jumping up and down because I KNEW they would make it into some photos for Jessica…pink flamingos are her mascot for her new Shootsacs! 🙂 After the ceremony, we were outside near the garden taking pics and I told Diana to get one of me shooting the couple with the flamingos and my Shootsac in the pic…I think Chelsea and Paris were a little confused at first but I told them I'd explain it all later. LOL I e-mailed 2 of my favorites to Jessica and today, they made her blog!! YAY!!! Check it out: www.shootsacblog.com

Side note: To other photographers who read my blog, I highly recommend her Shootsac, it's great for storing stuff when you're on the go…we used it in the dressing room by putting our most used emergency kit supplies in it and we used it throughout the day for lenses, flashes, batteries and other miscellaneous stuff. Plus, it's super cute and you all know I'm all about that!! 🙂

We photographed Holly & Adrian's engagement session on 7/15, the weather was SO PERFECT for a photo shoot, we couldn't have asked for a better day! Here are my favorites…16.jpg

I think a lot of people think you have to go to a park for engagement pictures which is SO not true! We can shoot them almost anywhere!! The above photo was taken at Tiki Bob's downtown. Holly said that she first met Adrian there when she reluctantly went to the bar after work with a friend…looks like it worked out in her favor since she met her future husband that night! LOL Everything happens for a reason! 😉

After we took a few shots of them in front of Tiki Bob's, we started walking to the monument but wanted to stop along the way for some cool photos in an alley that I found. On the way there, we noticed an open house going on for 6-7 figure condos on Meridian Street so we went up to check it out. The agent showing the condos was so happy to see people checking out her location that she let us do some awesome photos in two of the units that were for sale! LOL Both units had great window light against cool brick walls…isn't Holly gorgeous?! Adrian is pretty handsome too…this couple was HOT together! 🙂

Here they are in the 2nd condo, I had them practice their first dance in the open space on the hardwood floors against the amazing window light….AWESOME….
