Fashion & Modeling

I’m overwhelmed by the amount of positive feedback I’ve already been receiving about last weekend’s show! Some of our brides have already emailed me thanking me for such a fun night, in fact, one mother of the bride even emailed me this morning saying, “Thank you so much for inviting us to your fabulous bridal show, we had a wonderful time. Your outstanding planning and attention to detail were evident in all aspects of the evening. My daughter made personal contacts with a number of excellent vendors. Thanks again!”

One of our vendors also emailed me and said, “I thought the show was well-coordinated, I was greeted by name, by a knowledgeable person that was able to help me right away. I was approached several times to make sure I was ok. It is very nice for the production staff to realize that the vendors are important too…not just the brides. I felt very supported, marketed, and valuable.” I LOVE hearing that because we wanted to make this event special and unique for the brides AND the vendors!!

The vendors were loving the high quality brides who attended who were genuinely interested in their services so I was thrilled about that! Obviously our marketing targeted the RIGHT CROWD, which was VERY important to me. I think the weather kept some brides from attending the event, even though they originally RSVP’d, but it still turned out great. The fashion shows were a HIT and the bride who won the free dress was so excited and overwhelmed. She told me that being able to get the free dress opened up her budget so that now she can book the venue she really wants, that literally made me cry. It was so awesome to have been a part of that.

I want to extend a special thanks to the event staff at Thomas Caterers & Black Iris, you ALL were AMAZING!! From start to finish, it was a pleasure working with all of you. Not once did I worry about a thing, I knew you all had my overall vision in mind and wanted it to be a success too. I have so much love for all of you, truly.

A special thanks also goes out to Marie Gabriel Couture, thank you for all of your help with the fashion show, marketing ideas and providing us with the free dress giveaway! You all went above and beyond throughout this process and I’m so grateful for that. Thank you to Karen Hall & Co. for providing the gorgeous hair & make-up on the models, they looked stunning! Thanks to all of the models who walked the runway, you ladies did a great job showing off the latest in bridal fashions!

THANK YOU again to everyone involved!

And of course…now on to the fun photos!! (Photos by Erin Hession Photography)

On 11/4, we met up with my youngest sister Leah for her senior photos at a nearby barn, where she works. She is so adorably cute and we had a great time taking photos with the horses and barn animals. 🙂 I took a photo several years ago of her walking her horse out of a barn and I really wanted to replicate that shot for her senior pics, so we can frame them and put them together on the wall. It’s amazing how fast time flies and how quickly she grew up! LOL! Leah also wanted some cool photos around Broadripple, she seriously looks like a model in these pics. I LOVED them!! Congrats on your upcoming graduation Leah!! XOXO

On 10/9 we photographed an awesome 1940’s themed shoot for Karen Hall & Company!! Karen holds make-up artistry classes a few times a year and as part of the student’s training, they’re involved in a live photo shoot at the end of the class and that’s where we come in! Jessica Kersey did an AMAZING job style directing this shoot and ALL of Karen’s hair stylists, make-up artists, models and students totally knocked this out of the park! The props, outfits, looks, hair & make-up ALL looked SO authentic!! I LOVED IT! 🙂

I think my favorite part of this shoot is how real everything looked in person and through the camera. If you think back to old photographs that you’ve seen from the 40’s and 50’s, most of them are so faded and in need of restoration. I’ve always wondered what they would look like using today’s camera equipment, editing styles, etc. The result of this shoot is exactly what I think they would look like in today’s world! GORGEOUS!! 🙂

LOVE LOVE LOVE this one!! 🙂

Hot!!

Vintage suitcases were perfect for this scene!

It’s a 1950’s style slumber party!

This reminds me of Desperate Housewives! LOL

GREAT job ladies!!! You all rock!! 🙂

We held our Fall photo shoot class last month with Karen Hall & Company, it was a lot of fun!! All of her students did a great job on the model’s hair & make-up and our models were so pretty!! This was the first time modeling for many of these girls and they did a great job! 🙂

Shonda is so stunning!

I vote for this one to be your new profile head shot Shonda! 😉

We shot several glamour looks throughout the shoot…

Along with a sexy fireman (woman!) look! 🙂
