Anna’s Senior Pics!
Last weekend we also photographed Anna’s senior pictures at Holcomb Gardens! I LOVE shooting seniors because it’s kind of like photographing models (so much FUN!!) but when she showed up, I didn’t know that she really HAD done some modeling in the past!! 🙂 Isn’t she GORGEOUS!?
Most people don’t know this but after last year’s portrait sessions, we purchased this portable changing room so that our clients wouldn’t have to change clothes in their car or go hunting for an open bathroom…especially since we shoot at a lot of obscure places that don’t always have bathrooms that are easily accessible or open 24/7. Isn’t this AWESOME?! It just flips up & zips open and the client can walk into it (the top is open) and then zip it up, change clothes and then John (my hubby) can fold it back down and easily carry it with us! To all of you who have upcoming photo shoots with us – if you’re bringing a change of clothes, let us know so we can grab the changing room out of our trunk before your photo shoot ok? 😉
Anna also brought her furbaby with her!! He was SO SWEET!! 🙂

We brought some props with us that day…I find my inspiration from all kinds of various websites, blogs, forums, etc. I couldn’t decide if I liked the serious face better or the happy face, so I blogged them both. 🙂

We had an outdoor wedding with horrible weather. Despite all of the rain and a water logged camera, I still had amazing pictures!
Wedding photography not only amazing but flow of wedding and reception did not require an event coordinator. We are still getting compliments on our wedding and the photography three years later! Thanks for everything Erin!

Erin is such a great listener and gives the best suggestions on how to make your wedding everything it can possibly be. I am sure by the time the wedding came, everyone felt like Erin was a long lost friend, because I talked about her all the time. She has done my wedding, my anniversary, my kids, my service dog and much more. She is not only an awesome awesome photographer she is a nice sincere person!! As they would say in the south “she is good people”. Very shortly after my wedding my grandmother was dying and she got a photo of me and my grandma done early so I could give it to her before she died. That is just the person Erin is. Full of talent and heart and you just can’t find that out there these days. She could charge three times the amount and still be worth EVERY PENNY!! I would not have anyone else do my photography. She captures the story of the day not just the line up and that was important to me. She was also willing to listen to ideas I had as well of what I wanted from my wedding and what was sentimental to me. I just can’t say enough about Erin except she is doing more photos for me this week!! I just keep going back!!! She always takes her time and is never in a hurry she makes sure everything is perfect!! Way to go Erin!!!

Portrait Sessions
As most of you know, we tend to book a TON of portrait sessions in the Fall and it gets so booked up very quickly! We have a few spots open in July & August though if anyone out there wants to beat the rush?! 🙂 We have a 4 p.m. opening for this Sunday, and a 3 p.m. & 5 p.m. opening for 8/3. We also have one Saturday open between now and November which is 8/30 so if you’d like to do your session on a Saturday, we’re taking bookings for that date! (A very rare opportunity for you!) 😉 We also have a few openings during the weekday evenings here and there. As it gets closer to Fall, those opportunities start to dwindle since the sun sets much earlier than in the Summer so if you’ve been thinking about doing an engagement, boudoir, maternity, baby, family, pet, senior or trash the dress session, NOW is the time to book it! 🙂

Model Call: American Girl Models Needed!
Earlier this year, I joined the Junior League of Indianapolis, which is an amazing organization filled with wonderful women who are committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. They have a variety of fundraisers every year that help fund their numerous charity projects and one of them is the American Girl Fashion Show . The American Girl committee is currently in search of models for their 10th annual fashion show fundraiser! Since we receive so many inquiries from models and parents of children who want to get into modeling, I wanted to share this information that I received from the JLI:
“Last year with the help of our models, the JLI raised over $30,000 with this spectacular event. St. Mary’s Child Center and Kids Krew of the Damien Center are two examples of the many organizations that receive our volunteer hours and money. We appreciate the support from you and your daughters and hope that you will join us in 2008. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, October 4th and Sunday, October 5th at the brand new Renaissance Hotel in Carmel . ( 11925 N. Meridian Street ) We are in search of girls ages five and up interested in modeling Bitty Baby clothing, Historical Doll and Contemporary clothing. May’s class photo shoot!
On 5/25, Karen Hall & Co had their Spring class photo shoot for some up and coming models! Sophia (above) is sporting her "sassy" pajama look, isn't she adorable?! Barb (below) went for more of a 1930's/1940's look which she pulled off SO well! Karen & her crew did such a great job on everyone's hair & make-up!!
