Portraits

Jessica, one of our previous brides, e-mailed me a few months ago about shooting a boudoir session (still clothed of course) since they’re becoming the new rage in bridal photography. Of course I jumped at the chance to work with her again, we had so much fun shooting her wedding rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding, friend’s bridal shower and another friend’s wedding…she’s becoming a regular around here! 😀 She wanted to give some awesome pics of herself to her husband for Christmas and said he wouldn’t think to check out my blog to see what she’s been up to lately so I’ll go ahead and post a few below….

Since I’m catching up on blogging our events from the past few weeks, I wanted to post some pics from a double senior portrait session we photographed a few weeks ago. Katie & Tyler are fraternal twins and friends of Erin & Aaron’s (11/11 wedding). They’re both so photogenic and fun to work with! They were creative and up anything that day which is a photographer’s dream client! I think they were looking for something totally different than what most seniors get with the typical studio portraits that all start to look boring or cheesy after awhile…LOL

A week ago last Sunday I had the opportunity to shoot bridal portraits for this past weekend’s bride and she was gorgeous – inside and out. She and all of her friends and family were the nicest people we’ve ever met and really made us feel like we were a part of their family. The best part was that she LOVED anything super creative and artsy! We surprised her with a folio of pics from her bridal portrait session on her wedding day and of course, I couldn’t post these until after her wedding since she didn’t want her future hubby to see her dress. 🙂 I think bridal portraits are really making a come back and they aren’t the boring, traditional altar type of shots that were popular in the ’80’s – thank goodness!! LOL
