AfterCapture Article!
I'm SO EXCITED!! I just received my April/May AfterCapture magazine today and my images and text ended up in a 4 page interview spread! WOW!!! 😀 Hopefully they'll have the link to the article online soon but for the photographers out there who follow my blog and receive the magazine, check out pages 28, 30, 32 & 34. 🙂 I may just have to get this framed before Sunday's bridal show! 😉 YAY!
Coming soon…
This week has been an awesome week but it's also been so busy!! We've had vendors for the Summer Bridal Show dropping off their giveaways for the bridal gift bags ALL WEEK and today when Melissa came in to stuff the bags, we counted up the total giveaways – over $1,500 in wedding-related coupons, freebies & gift cards are in EACH of the bridal gift bags and since we're giving away 200 of them next weekend, that's over $300,000 in giveaways! HOLY COW!!!!! 🙂 If you haven't already RSVP'd and are planning on attending the event, DO IT NOW. I'm not kidding…we have over 350 RSVP's already and we're going to be separating the registration lines by those who RSVP'd and those who didn't. And you can bet that the girls who RSVP'd are going to be more likely to be one of the first 50 through the door each hour to get the AMAZING gift bag! 😉 (They won't have to do anything but give their name & wedding date and get one of the "I'm the Bride" stickers and they're done! No filling out any paperwork!!) Anyway, I've been in heavy duty "bridal show mode" for the last week or two and next week we'll be wrapping up a lot of loose ends. We have two awesome shoots this weekend so I won't be in e-mail much but I'm going to try to catch up on blogging on Monday and get more editing done. Stay tuned for the following events:
Natalie & David's wedding
Our 5 year Anniversary
A graduation party
Carrie & Brian's wedding
KHC class photo shoot
I'm off to bed…gotta get some sleep before this weekend's shoots! 🙂
Business Brilliance Event
On 5/7 we photographed a dual ISES event at Crowne Plaza, it was amazing! 🙂 ISES had their annual PACE awards in the middle of their Business Brilliance event which was fantastic. Everyone who was able to attend Business Brilliance was able to see the awards program for PACE, which stands for Professional Achievement in Creative Events. I plan on becoming a member of ISES this month so I'm sure you'll all be seeing more ISES events on the blog in the near future. Congrats to ALL of the award winners, you can see a full list by clicking HERE. 🙂
Business Brilliance is an event where various companies have the opportunity to showcase their talents by decorating and theming certain aspects or parts of the event. Tonya from Circle City Planners had an Asian-inspired themed room. Here she is hanging up the paper lanterns… 🙂
And what it looked like nearing completion – AMAZING! The Impact Group provided all of the Asian room props, it looked awesome! 🙂
Here's the CCP group with DJ, Jim Cerone!
As part of shooting the event, Kate from BMG let us have our own booth to showcase some of our albums and things – thanks Kate!!! 🙂
Here's everyone at the awards rehearsal an hour before the event began…
And here's the room that A Classic Party Rental, Evans Audio Visual & Accent on Indianapolis put together – WOW!! (By the way, there were SO many companies represented that evening and if yours was one of them and you need a credit on here, please email me ASAP: [email protected], I'd be happy to include you!) 🙂
Even the food was too pretty to eat! 🙂
BMG events had an awesome display of comfy furniture throughout the room…
YAY! Tonya won "Best Achievement in Logistics" for an event that she pulled off in 11 days! :O WAY TO GO!!!! 🙂
BMG also won a handful of awards like usual! 😉 Congrats to all of them as well!!!
Thanks for a great time everyone! If any of you need any of these pics for your websites/blogs, e-mail me at [email protected]
Jessica’s Trash The Dress!
Many of you will recognize Jessica, she's been famous on this blog MANY times before! 🙂 We shot her wedding 2 1/2 years ago but when she found out we were offering Trash The Dress sessions, she said the dress deserved more pictures! LOL This TTD session was more of a fun, urban, grunge style TTD (no water involved) and we all had a blast!! We started off at Fountain Square downtown and shot inside their diner. (Above – check out her fun shoes!!) 🙂 We had her play pool….
LOL (LOVED IT!!!)
Doesn't she look GORGEOUS!? Karen Hall & Co. did her hair & make-up for the photo shoot! 🙂
Another favorite….the cross processed action was perfect for a few of these shots…very "grungy" looking 🙂
GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jess likes hand-coloring so I thought I'd throw this one in there for her! 🙂
One side of Fountain Square has this cool wall mural that is old and the paint is chipping away. As soon as we saw this, I had this shot in my head…
After we finished at Fountain Square, we went to Union Station for some pics….
And here we are playing in traffic….lol
But it was worth it, a limo passed her right as I took this shot. 🙂 Sometimes timing is everything!
Then we hit the streets of downtown for some urban-style shots. We had her laying in an alley for this shot. You should have seen some of the looks we were getting from people who were passing by! LOL
LOVED IT!
Then we stopped for dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe together and continued on with our shoot after dinner. This was next door to Hard Rock – loved it!
Then we headed to the monument for some shots on the steps at the circle and around the area. It started to sprinkle outside (even though it was sunny!!? What's up with Indiana weather lately!!?) so we ran to the Chocolate Cafe while we waited for the rain to pass…doesn't she look STUNNING here?! 🙂
And on our way back to the parking garage at night, we saw this window display – which is sooo Jessica! 🙂 (Note to photogs: I metered for the background exposure and had Melissa pop me some side light with another flash – works great every time!) 🙂
Thanks for a great time at your photo shoot Jess!!! More pics coming soon! 🙂
Brenda’s Boudoir! (And pet pics) :)
Brenda is one of our August brides and she contacted us about doing a boudoir shoot to surprise her husband on their wedding night. 🙂 (She's approved all of these images to be posted on the blog by the way…) Anyway, we showed up at her friend's house in Geist and it was gorgeous and totally perfect for the shoot…they had the Paris artwork which was perfect for her red & black themed outfit, they had a pink & black room which went well with her black outfit, they had a pirate-themed boys room which matched a pirate costume she brought with her and they even had a wine/martini area that went with her German bar maid costume! Isn't that funny?! She couldn't have picked a better location for her shoot! Of course, my favorite part was the fact that they had 3 cats and a dog!! I was in heaven! Anyone who knows me knows how much I LOVE pets and if you book a shoot at a home with pets, you're bound to get some pet photos along the way too! LOL
LOL These tickets were randomly sitting on a dresser in the bedroom, I LOVE Brenda's sense of humor! 😉
LOVE LOVE LOVE this one!!!!
And this one! Oh la la! 🙂
Cute kitty!!! 🙂
LOL! This one walked off with the boa in the middle of the shoot!
We were posing her for a red/black rose petal shot when someone decided they were hungry… (we stopped him from eating them, no worries) 😉
Kitty boudoir…LOL
Precious!
Then their dog figured out that if you roll on the floor and act cute, you get your picture taken! LOL 🙂
Loved her German bar maid outfit, so cute!
HOT! Her husband is going to LOVE these! 🙂
Thanks for a great time at your shoot! 🙂 More pics coming soon!
