July 2008

Last weekend, my uncle Tom hosted a quadruple birthday bash at his house! We were celebrating his wife, Brenda’s b-day as well as her mom and my step-mom and great uncle. They gathered together for a quick photo before blowing out their birthday candles…

We took a few shots by the fireplace before Uncle Mike had to leave…

Mary & Dad together…dad, she’s begging you for something here, isn’t she?! LOL

For Brenda’s b-day, we gave her a gift card for a massage at the Woodhouse Spa in Carmel…Jimmy wanted to give her a little preview. 😉

A few nights later, Melissa & Patrick invited us over for dinner at their house. Their kiddos are SO cute!! Here’s Jackson being adorable as ever…

Melissa made spaghetti bake & a special salad for dinner – she’s an amazing cook!! Jackson and Maddie got in a food fight at dinner though, it was hilarious!!! Famous quote of the night: “Oh my gosh, there’s a noodle on the WALL!” LOL

We just brought our little point & shoot (“purse camera”) with us that night so these aren’t the best quality but you get the idea. 😉 They have gorgeous sunsets in their back yard!!

John & I stopped by Classic Cakes on our way over to get them a little “thanks for having us over” dessert…they make an incredible orange flavored cake! YUM!! (And while I was there, there was a lady picking up an engagement cake for her sister and I gave her my card so here’s a shout out to the newly engaged couple – congrats!!!) 🙂

Maddie fell sound asleep on Melissa’s lap while we were all hanging out together that night. It was so cute!!!

Last weekend we also photographed Jenny & Mike’s wedding & reception at Avon Gardens. It’s so gorgeous out there!! 🙂 We started in the girls dressing room that afternoon….check out her kitty cat make-up bag! I loved it!! Of course, I’m quite the animal lover so I was also excited to see Smoky, the cat that lives at Avon Gardens.

Once again, we got SO LUCKY with the weather!! John was watching the radar on his phone (we love Weatherbug!) and even though it was super hot, the rain just missed us on Saturday. We were able to get a lot of great shots around the gardens…

(I was lovin’ the pink!!) 🙂

Avon Florist did her flowers and they were gorgeous! Loved the callas against the blue!

Dad & Jenny walking down the aisle…

They have a great wedding set-up at the gardens where you can get married on one side of the property and have the reception on the other side with cocktail hour in the middle! Loved it!

Brenda’s Cakes did their cake…

They had these glow sticks for the kids that night, cute idea!!

Loved the Colts grooms cake!

The flowers at the gardens are phenomenal! I took some beautiful flower shots thinking that they can use them as some background images in their album. I’m always shooting with the album in mind! 🙂

Happy to be married!! YAY!

I loved this one…

And this one…I grabbed them for a few quick night time shots around the lit trellis in the gardens that night.

LOL!!! This guy could DANCE!

The aftermath… 🙂

Thanks for a fun time that day, more pics coming soon! 🙂

Last weekend, we photographed Sierra & Justin’s wedding at Fishers United Methodist Church and their reception at The Fountains in Carmel. The church had the cutest dressing room and I just loved the shot of her dress hanging up! Isn’t is gorgeous?! 🙂 She had great shoes too!!

And necklaces for all of her bridesmaids…

Sierra & Justin are so cute together! They were passing love notes to one another before the ceremony…

And Sierra said she wanted some creative/artsy shots of her groom to be…we aim to please! 🙂

Another love “note” in the form of a text message! LOL

Looking studly…

She had GORGEOUS roses!!! A Bride’s Choice Florist did her flowers and they were so nice and simply amazing!!

Sierra told us beforehand that she loves “romantic looking” shots so we put this one in here just for her. 🙂

I loved how they roped off the aisle. John & I did this for our wedding too and it looked gorgeous!!

They hired Jack from Antique Limo to pull up in an awesome, vintage car for their getaway! LOVED IT!

Sierra and all of her girls…hi ladies!! I’m sure you’re all checking the blog! 🙂

After some photos at the church, we stopped by Starbucks for a few quick shots! 🙂

A new take on the standard ring shot! LOL

Then we headed to the reception site…check out their gorgeous cake from Classic Cakes! WOW!! Talk about awesome details on the cake!

I love this shot…especially because you can see her grandma smiling at them as she’s passing by. 🙂

Another “romantic” shot for Sierra 🙂

I LOVE the chandeliers at The Fountains! Wouldn’t this make a great background shot in an album spread or something!?

We had a perfect set-up next to Jeremy from DJ’s Direct that night (thanks Jeremy for sharing your table space!!) so we were able to quickly edit some pics and show a slideshow at the end of the night again!

Right before they left the reception, we grabbed a few more shots with the car…

Thanks for a great time you guys!! More pics coming soon! 🙂

Today was one of those days where I felt SO productive, I loved it!!! My hubby had the day off today so after working super late last night, we were able to sleep in this morning and then get even MORE stuff done together today! 🙂 We got all of our reprint & album orders edited and over to the lab even earlier than expected, we shipped out a ton of orders to our clients and their families, went house hunting again and we think we found the perfect neighborhood (now we just have to narrow down which house!) and then had the chance to have dinner together and rent some movies tonight. What a perfect day!! Oh, and this week was our 8 YEAR “dating” anniversary, isn’t that adorable?! 🙂 (We’ve been married 5 of those years) John & I even got each other cards & candy. XOXO

Stay tuned for LOTS of new photos to hit the blog over the next few days…Sierra & Justin’s wedding…Jenny & Mike’s wedding…the quadruple b-day party at Tom’s….dinner at Melissa’s…Lisa’s family pics and Eva’s head shots…LOTS going on these days!!! 🙂
