August 2008

We’re so proud of my baby sis, Leah!! She rides horses and competes in various horse shows and she won a TON of awards, including the Grand Champion award in her division recently! 🙂 Unfortunately her show was the same weekend that we had a double wedding weekend so we didn’t get the chance to see her compete this time but my dad was her official photographer and he did a great job with his new digital camera!! We surprised her with a bouquet of flowers the next day and had the chance to see some of his awesome pics. I may post a few once he gets them downloaded. 🙂

Congrats Lebe! We love you!! 🙂

Last Thursday was my Grandma’s b-day so we celebrated a few days early over the weekend! 🙂 Check out the adorable gift bag I found (above) ….isn’t that cute?!? She was really excited about the new Coach wallet mom bought her – LOVED it!! 🙂

Of course, Mandy thought the bags were more fun than the gifts! LOL

Doesn’t she have the most precious face?! I just want to squeeze her and kiss her nose every time I see her! 🙂

This was soooo funny…mom found one of my high school senior pics from like 10 years ago! LOL OMG, not much has changed, has it?! Well, except that we’re all digital now and I’m blonde. 😉

Happy Birthday Grandma! We love you!! 🙂

On 8/16, we photographed Brenda & Greg’s ceremony & reception at the Community Life Center! We’ve been looking forward to their wedding for a LONG time…every time we’d get together, Brenda would tell me more funny or unique things they had planned for the wedding. They definitely win the funniest/quirkiest couple award!! 🙂 Check out her cute shoes…

Custom designed invitations with their caricatures on the front, isn’t that neat?! On the inside, it said “After a short (12 years) engagement, we have concluded that we are soul cell-mates” LOL

The happy couple!! Doesn’t Greg look like Robert Redford?!? 🙂

LOL another funny wedding moment…Greg designed this stand up look alike of himself that stood in the groom’s place as the guests were being seated. It said “Sorry I can’t make the wedding but I’ll see you at the reception” lol

Brenda chose a red & white dress and the details in the red were gorgeous!

Another beautiful day!!

During photos, this guy crashed on the side of the lawn…poor guy! 🙂

Another funny moment…yes, this is a Cialis aisle runner!!! LOL Bet you’ve never seen anything like it before! 😉 The guests got a good laugh out of it as the usher revealed it before she walked down the aisle…

Even her parents have a sense of humor….the bride’s dad paid the groom off during the hand off! Brenda had no idea they were going to do that! LOL

Right before Greg kissed her, he turned to his son (best man) for a shot of Binaca…

And the wedding party blew bubbles while Etta James “At Last” was playing in the background 🙂

FAVORITE!!!

As Brenda & Greg entered the reception hall, the wedding party played a little joke on them and wore Groucho Marx glasses!

So we thought that was worthy of a creative ring shot! 🙂

After dinner we went outside for some sunset pics…

And after dark, we went back to the tower for some night time shots…

We set up a slideshow at the reception that night…I think it was a huge hit! 🙂

Having a good time…

Thanks for a fun night you guys!!! More pics coming soon! 🙂

Last Friday, we photographed Tisa & Jeff’s wedding & reception at Ritz Charles in Carmel. I LOVE shooting at the Ritz, it’s so pretty there and the staff is SO nice!! We started out in the bridal suite for some dressing room shots that day…the flower girl was video taping – notice the video was upside down?! How cute is THAT?!?! 🙂 LOL The ceremony site looked gorgeous…I loved the petals down the sides of the aisle…

Kathy from Kathy’s Kloset did a fantastic job on her flowers!

The kids were so cute that day…I asked the flower girls if they would each kiss the ring bearer on his cheeks and this was the reaction I got! I love his face, he’s not quite sure what to think! LOL

Another beautiful blue sky day – LOVED IT!!!

Aren’t they adorable together? 🙂

Loved this one…to the photographers who stalk me – I used the “Bronzed God 1” action on this one…I like it because it’s not overly sepia. 😉

GORGEOUS reception site!!

They added an Asian theme to their reception by incorporating black square china plates, accents of red on the tables and Chinese take out boxes full of fortune cookies, LOVED it!! 🙂

We went outside for a few sunset shots after the ceremony…the light was so yummy!

Jeff was totally relaxed here – probably one of my favorite shots of him from the day!

The Ritz provided their cake and did a fantastic job!

And I overheard people talking about the miniature cheeseburgers that were a huge hit for cocktail hour so I made a point to find a plate of those to photograph 🙂

Bling, bling…can you find their rings?! 🙂

Even though the crowd was egging him on, Jeff didn’t smash the cake. 😉

We set up a photo slideshow on the piano next to the DJ that night, I think it was a huge hit again!

I love cool lighting set ups…check out this one!

This guy was soooo funny, he serenaded the couple to “New York, New York” that night and he was really a great performer! 🙂

Hope you guys had fun, I know we did!! 🙂 More pics coming soon!
