August 2008

As many of you know, we’ve been nominated for WRTV’s A-List of Best Local Businesses again this year and we’re competing against over 100 other photographers for one of the top 5 spots again. Last year, we made it to the top 5 and before they turned off the “view current standings” link a few days ago, we were only 6% away from the #1 spot!! So WE NEED YOUR HELP!! The voting ends sometime tomorrow and they will begin tallying the votes for the 2008 Top 5 Businesses so please CLICK HERE to vote NOW and please remember to send your friends and family to the site to vote as well….we can’t do this without you!! 🙂 (By the way, WRTV will NOT spam you but you will need to give them a valid email address and check your email after you vote just to confirm your vote for us…thanks!!)

We went to Holcomb Gardens to photograph Amanda & Nathan’s engagement session on 8/3 and had a blast with them!! Some of you may recognize this photo above…John took this pic of me shooting pics of them and I LOVE it…definitely a new favorite! I made it my new FaceBook profile pic yesterday. 😉 Here’s our adorable 9/5/09 couple, Amanda & Nathan…

Isn’t she GORGEOUS!?!? We had her lay down in Nathan’s lap on a park bench and I snagged this awesome shot! Her eyes are AMAZING!

Awwwww 🙂

John & Melissa were both side-shooting with me that day and a butterfly happened to land right in front of John! (Nice shot honey!!) 🙂

And while he was shooting that, I was shooting a few individual head shots for them…now they have updated pics of each other to display on their desks at work. 😉

The sunlight was amazing that day…we couldn’t have asked for a better day to shoot outside!

Amanda’s adorable parents even came along to take photos of us taking photos of them, isn’t that cute?! 🙂 Tae (her dad) even went out and bought a Nikon D300 just so he would be able to take great photos of all of her wedding-related parties and activities leading up to the big day next year. I remember when I first met them, they booked us for the wedding and then right before they left my office, Tae looked at me and said, “Thank you for making my daughter so happy” and I nearly lost it! (I have the best job in the world, can’t you tell!?) 🙂 They are SUCH sweet people and we’re going to have SO much fun at the wedding next year, I can’t wait! 🙂

Loved this one!!

They did a quick outfit change towards the end…

Melissa shot this one below & had the idea of turning it into a “save-the-date” card so I played with it a bit in photoshop…great idea Melissa!! 🙂

FAVORITE!!!! 🙂

And a group shot of all of us! Thanks for the photo Tae!! 🙂

Thanks for a fun time that day, more pics coming soon!! 🙂

On 8/2, we photographed Kate & Payton’s wedding & reception in Salem, Indiana. Kate had a gorgeous dress and TONS of helpers in the dressing room…7 bridesmaids, 5 junior bridesmaids and a flower girl and guess what?! They were ALL in PINK!! I was in pink heaven that day!! 🙂 Check out this adorable junior bridesmaid!

Kate & Payton are so cute together! We started with a few formals for their families and then quickly headed outside for some fun pics!

Check out the pink & bling, loved it!! 🙂

Kate has gorgeous eyes!

LOVE IT!!! Their wedding party was so much fun and they were up for anything…I love that!

Kate & her girls…

Can you tell I loved their colors & flower choices?! 🙂

A bubble exit!

They had 4 (yes, FOUR!) types of cake that evening! YUM!! Cake #1…cupcakes!

I loved their chair covers and full length linens…it really does transform a banquet hall into a gorgeous setting for a reception!!

LOL Cake #2…the groom’s cake…

Cake #3…the wedding cake…

CUTE!!!

LOL I love it how the girls are always ready to catch the bouquet…

But the guys usually just stare at the garter as it’s coming towards them…lol

Cake #4 – a birthday cake!!

Thanks for a fun time that day, more pics coming soon! 🙂

This week has become “Birthday WEEK” for John…we like to drag out celebrations as long as we can, you know? 😉 Even though TODAY is actually his b-day, I had a full day of back-to-back appointments and projects to do on Tuesday and that included a surprise cupcake drop off from Karen at Holy Cow Cupcakes! Many of you probably remember how she named the “Erin” cupcake after me, well…it was John’s turn! I had her make a marble cupcake with bright blue frosting and green sprinkles to go along with his favorite flavors and colors that matched his business. He LOVED it!!! Check out the Erin & John cupcakes side-by-side…aren’t they cute?! 🙂

(These aren’t the best photo quality, sorry…I just took a few quick pics with my little “purse camera” that day) 😉 Anyway, after a few appointments, I took him out to Kincaid’s for an early b-day celebration where he had an amazing filet & I had my all time favorite, the dijon chicken! YUM!!

Last night he enjoyed a dinner out with his parents and today, he has the day off and we’re heading to his all time favorite place…more pics & parties coming soon!!!!! 🙂 Happy Birthday honey, I love you!! XOXO
