On Friday, 7/12 we photographed Kacy & Ryan’s beautiful wedding & reception at the Columbia Club! We had a great team of vendors with us that day and it was so much fun. I loved all of Kacy’s gorgeous details…the bling on her heels, the rhinestones on her belt, their beautiful flowers & cake and especially the photos of their adorable pup, Oliver, who inspired their donation to the Humane Society in lieu of traditional favors. (LOVE that!!)

When we walked into Kacy’s dressing room, we were surprised with an elaborate set up of Harry Potter-themed goodies! The bridesmaids had put together a themed breakfast buffet for Kacy, isn’t that sweet? 🙂 They had a great wedding party and they were all a lot of fun to be around that day. Kacy & Ryan are SO cute together too, Kacy has actually modeled for us before so it felt like it was more of a modeling shoot when it came time to take pics of them together, talk about a cute couple!! 🙂 Thanks for a fun time you guys!!

On 9/1, we met up with Jessica for her maternity session at her home in Terre Haute! We’ve been photographing her and her family for almost a decade now, so it was super special when she told us that she was pregnant and wanting to book her maternity shoot with us. She also scheduled her baby shower the same day so that we could photograph that during the trip down there as well! 🙂 She looked so cute in her maternity outfits and her nursery for Ramsey is ADORABLE! Before her session, she mentioned that she’s been keeping a journal throughout the entire pregnancy process so that Ramsey would have an account of his journey from the very beginning and see just how much she & Chris love him already. I thought that was the cutest thing ever! Jessica also made these adorable treat bags to hand out to all of the nurses that she encounters during her hospital stay. What a thoughtful idea!!

After we finished taking pics at their home, we drove to St. Mary-of-the-Woods (my alma mater!) 🙂 to take some outdoor pics of her in her party dress, then it was time for the baby shower!! Her mom, sisters and friends set up the formal parlor in Le Fer and turned it into an adorable blue & orange owl-themed party! They made carmel apples for the favors, had adorable cupcakes with cute cupcake toppers (Jessica even made the cupcake stand herself!) and they rented a photo booth that included baby boy props and an owl curtain background. It was so cute!! Everyone had a great time and it was good to see all of her friends and family again! Can’t wait to meet Baby Ramsey soon! 🙂

Last weekend was amazing, we celebrated my 33rd b-day by taking the weekend off and filling it full of fun things to do together. Last Friday we went to the First Friday food truck fest at the Murat. We had always wanted to go check it out and it was pretty neat. I found an amazing BBQ turkey truck! Yum! On Saturday we went out to Tuttle’s, our favorite orchard. We picked apples and went through their cute little store then we headed to Buca’s for my b-day dinner. After that we went to my dad’s house to watch the Notre Dame game, wish they would have won!

On Sunday, my Aunt Mary & I had a joint b-day party that night that was a lot of fun. Classic Cakes made us an amazing ruffled, ombre cake that looked so awesome! 🙂 We all had a good laugh that night because my sister Leah bought me the “Wedding Dogs” book for my b-day without realizing that we’re actually published in it!! LOL! I was able to show off our work and the story in the book, it was so funny.

Then on Monday, John & I had lunch with dad at Cheesecake Factory where we told him that after lunch, we were heading to the Humane Society and that he was going to be a “grand paw” again. LOL! That afternoon we rescued two beautiful kitties, Lola & Chloe. They both jumped in John’s lap as soon as he sat down in the catio area. They literally said, “choose us!” So we did! Lola is the gray & white 2 1/2 year old kitty and Chloe is the 5 month old kitten, who we recently figured out likes to play dress up! I bought her the cutest outfits and she LOVES to wear them! I plan on doing a little photo shoot with her and her outfits soon. 😉

On 7/6, we photographed Kelsie & Kirk’s gorgeous wedding at St. Luke’s & their reception at the Columbia Club! Kelsie and I have been friends since elementary school so I was super excited to photograph her big day, I knew her sense of style would be amazing and timeless, she was stunning! 🙂 I LOVED her dress, necklace, flowers, ring, hair and make-up…it all looked so pretty. They are such an adorable couple together too, you can tell that Kirk really adores her. 🙂 I also thought it was super sweet that Kirk’s dad was his best man, that was so awesome!! Kelsie & Kirk surprised their guests with coffee and donuts at the end of the night and then topped it off with a sparkler exit and a group shot on monument circle. It was a great way to end a fabulous night! Thanks for a fun time you guys, more pics coming soon!

On 6/29, we photographed Kristi & Nick’s fun wedding & reception at Northminster Presbyterian Church & Oak Hill Mansion! We started off with getting ready photos at the Sheraton that day and got a lot of fun candids and great detail shots! Kristi’s family owns Kirles Jewelers so we knew that her jewelry and details would be fabulous!! She even surprised Nick with a new watch and he surprised her with a new necklace that day. After that, we headed over to the church where Kristi stepped into her dress. One of my favorite moments of the day was when her dad came to the dressing room to see her in her dress for the first time. He opened up his suit jacket and showed me a whole box of Kleenex that he stuffed in his jacket! LOL He came prepared! I love it! 🙂

Kristi & Nick are such an adorable couple together and their families are super sweet. I loved her dress, flowers, decor, cake & uplighting, it was all perfect. She even had photos with favorite quotes on the back of each table number and a “words of wisdom” sign in display where guests could offer them advice for their marriage, I loved the amount of thought and detail that went into the day! They had signature margarita drinks, a photo booth & Hot Box breadsticks for a late night snack. Everyone had a fabulous time!! 🙂
