Finally getting into Twitter…
My hubby, the social (networking) butterfly LOVES Twitter…if you haven’t gotten into Twitter yet, go create an account here. It’s kind of like micro blogging, so if you want to follow us in between blog posts, you can follow me on Twitter!! (Profile name: ErinHession, all 1 word) I’m usually more of a FaceBook girl but I realize the need to stay on top of the latest and greatest breaking news, business ideas, conversations, etc. I just watched this fantastic video that the Bui Brothers created about how to best use Twitter. We had an outdoor wedding with horrible weather. Despite all of the rain and a water logged camera, I still had amazing pictures!

Erin is such a great listener and gives the best suggestions on how to make your wedding everything it can possibly be. I am sure by the time the wedding came, everyone felt like Erin was a long lost friend, because I talked about her all the time. Because of Erin, I also got great references for my cake, my flowers, makeup, even my Day of Wedding Coordinator. I loved every minute of working with Erin and her staff!

She has done my wedding, my anniversary, my kids, my service dog and much more. She is not only an awesome awesome photographer she is a nice sincere person!! As they would say in the south “she is good people”. Very shortly after my wedding my grandmother was dying and she got a photo of me and my grandma done early so I could give it to her before she died. That is just the person Erin is. Full of talent and heart and you just can’t find that out there these days. She could charge three times the amount and still be worth EVERY PENNY!! I would not have anyone else do my photography. She captures the story of the day not just the line up and that was important to me. She was also willing to listen to ideas I had as well of what I wanted from my wedding and what was sentimental to me. I just can’t say enough about Erin except she is doing more photos for me this week!! I just keep going back!!! She always takes her time and is never in a hurry she makes sure everything is perfect!! Way to go Erin!!!

Now Hiring!
As most of you know, we’ve been SUPER busy this season – more so than any other shooting season and I’ve finally decided it’s time to get some extra help with some admin work. I feel so bad that many of you have had to wait a few extra weeks to get your pics back since I’m a "one-woman show" during the week. Between shooting, editing, packing up and preparing for more shoots, meeting with new brides, answering calls and emails, planning a bridal show and still trying to have a life in the midst of busy wedding season, I barely have time to get it all done! LOL This image above is just a snapshot of our current orders, yeah a tad crazy. I’d like to have a more efficient system in place so that our clients don’t have to wait on me to edit hundreds/thousands of images every week! So, I thought I’d ask my faithful blog readers for some help. I need someone part-time who can devote about 3-6 hrs/day (about 20-25 hrs/wk total) for the next few months to help me catch up and then after that, we can re-evaluate schedules before the busy Christmas season.
I need someone who is extremely dependable, is fun to be around, has a positive attitude, follows directions well, takes initiative, doesn’t get easily distracted, enjoys computer work, running errands and random tasks given to them throughout the day and someone who is willing to work from their home or from my office in Carmel as needed. (Each week will be different) The person we hire must have some office admin experience, be trustworthy, know how to deal with clients and vendors in a professional manner, have their own transportation, be willing to take on tedious tasks (you must have the patience of a saint), 😉 have your own laptop, cell phone and check email frequently – multiple times a day. This is an independent contractor position (with an hourly pay rate) and you will be asked to sign an IC agreement prior to being hired, just like the rest of our staff.
The person we hire also needs to have extensive knowledge of photoshop and/or similar image editing software(s) so that he/she can help out as needed behind the scenes. Prior photographic, digital art or studio work is definitely a plus. We need someone who is eager and willing to learn and grow with the company, as we have plans to expand over the next several years. (I basically need a clone of myself, hope I’m not asking too much?!
