Congratulations Erin & Brandon
On 8/4, we photographed Erin & Brandon's wedding & reception at White River Gardens at the Indy Zoo. It's SUCH a beautiful location for photos! 🙂 We started with dressing room pics at the Omni that day…Karen Hall's staff was busy doing a fabulous job with hair & make-up when we arrived.
The handsome groom…
LOL We were going for a serious "mob" shot but the guys were having way too much fun with this…I love how half of the guys in the back are cracking up! 🙂
Cool dresses and flowers!
One bridesmaid called this the "boobs and blooms" shot….LOL!!
Erin is so adorably cute and easy to photograph…she has a million different expressions too which makes it fun! 🙂
LOVED her shoes…she was determined to find shoes that matched her cake. LOL (Plus, she's a bit shorter than Brandon so these definitely helped) 🙂
Here's one of Melissa playing paparazzi with me…:)
I love how Brandon helped carry her bouquet on the exit, how cute are they?!
The rotunda is such a beautiful place, I had them practice their first dance with no one around and grabbed my fisheye lens for this shot…
Awesome cake design….that matched her shoes….:)
The skyline at night was amazing!!
Congrats you guys, hope you had fun on your honeymoon!! 🙂
Congratulations Britnee & Jon!
On Friday, 8/3 we photographed Britnee & Jon's wedding at St. Roch Catholic Church and their reception at Primo's. They had such a fun (and HUGE!) wedding party with 9 attendants each and 2 adorable flower girls. 🙂 When we arrived, I noticed all of her amazing bling (above and below) and had to get some cool shots of that of course….
The handsome groom….
Gorgeous flowers!
I love this shot, it looks so vintage…:)
The beautiful bride…
Jon's dad co-officiated with the priest that day which made it so special and personalized for them…and of course we loved it because both officiants didn't care if we moved around during the ceremony and even shot some pics at the front of the church which is a rarity for Catholic weddings. 🙂 I wish more priests were cool like that. LOL
Her grandparents were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary that day which was mentioned during the ceremony…
Afterwards, everyone threw heart shaped rice for the exit…I had some really hilarious/gross photos with the bridesmaids eating this stuff but I think they'd all hate me if I posted them on here! LOL ;p We'll leave those photos for their password-protected website….:)
Off go the shoes…
It was SO HOT that day that we kept giving them water breaks throughout photos…we didn't want anyone passing out on us! 🙂
Oh la la!!
The groom's mom said that this sign has been passed down for generations for all of the weddings in their family so we had to get a shot of it! 🙂
A surprise cake for Britnee's grandparents…
Their lemon-themed reception…loved it!
Notice the lemon slices in the centerpiece… 🙂
The bride and bridesmaids all had a song and dance they had been practicing for a long time for the groom…it was SO cute! In fact, they broke out into their song & dance in the dressing room earlier in the day and they nearly made me cry, it was THAT amazing and totally unexpected….:D
Dancing to Fergie's "Glamorous" 🙂
Loved the DJ lighting and the "flare" at the end of the night…
Congrats you guys, hope you had fun on your honeymoon!! 🙂
Congratulations Chelsea & Paris!
We photographed Paris & Chelsea's wedding on 7/28 in Ft. Wayne at the Embassy Theater. It was such a cool, unique setting for such a fun couple….they were great to photograph. Of course, they're probably used to all of the cameras being on them since they're both amazing dancers for the Kansas City Ballet! 🙂
We LOVED her shoes…
As I was walking around in the dressing room, I saw these three meerkats sitting near the window. At first, we took a few pics figuring they had to be there for a reason and then when Chelsea saw us taking pics of them, she said those were her lucky meerkats that she has with her before every performance! LOL So, we grabbed the rings and had to incorporate it into a shot for her… 🙂
The stunning bride….
The handsome groom….
Their gorgeous ceremony!
Of course, some of you who follow my blog regularly will remember these two pics that ended up on Jessica Claire's Shootsac blog last week!
This convention center area was attached to the Hilton across the street and when we got there and I saw how cool the architecture was, this is what I envisioned immediately….pretty cool, huh?
Their cake was so cool too…
And a dip at the end of their first dance…
I love this shot…you never quite know what you're going to get with the bouquet & garter toss, usually a bunch of girls tackling each other for the bouquet and a bunch of guys running away from the garter! LOL I love that little girl's expression on this one. 🙂
Congratulations you guys, hope you had a blast on your honeymoon!! More pics to come soon….:)
Welcome Jalen!
Just a quick post to show off April's new baby Jalen, who is ADORABLE! (You'll probably remember her baby shower/maternity pics from last month) April's sister Jessica found this cool website, www.purplestork.com for Jalen's birth announcements and I e-mailed her a few quick pics from Tuesday's shoot, aren't they adorable?! More to come!!
Mexico – Days 5-9
(This may be my longest post ever!) 🙂 On day 5, we went to church that morning and at the end of the service, this cute couple came to the front to renew their vows since it was their 25th wedding anniversary. 🙂 Of course, I whipped out my camera, stood up and started taking pics like any other normal weekend! Here's a vintage looking shot of the church…it was beautiful!
After church, we went downtown and took pics by the statues….
Then we went to Hard Rock Cafe where the wait staff staff started singing Happy Birthday to my adorable sister, Mary! Her b-day was in March so we were all thoroughly confused…until I realized it was because she was wearing a white sun dress – they thought she was there to celebrate her Quinceañera! LOL (Note to self – be careful what you wear in other countries! LOL)
After lunch, my sisters and I went shopping and came across this adorable burrow.
Then took a cab ride to this fateful Starbucks….I was so glad to see something familiar – you all know how much I LOVE Starbucks….
But this drink made me deathly ill later that night!!!! (Interesting spelling of my name too…LOL) I asked if the water and ice was purified and they said it was but I tend to think that the milk wasn't pasteurized or it was old or something, I don't know. Mary had an ice water that day and didn't get sick so I know it wasn't the water or ice!
My favorite store from the WHOLE trip! This place had the cutest frames, magnets, cards and miscellaneous cute stuff!
Domino's delivery vehicles in Mexico…
John shot this sunset that night, while I was totally sick…:(
Day 6….'nuff said….LOL (Actually more like days 5-9 but whatever) ;p
Day 7 I started to feel a little better and went out for a few hours. A few months ago, I found this adorable card in Border's I think (Fashion Mall) and I HAD to get it for John…it's so us! I gave it to him on vacation and he loved it so I had to photograph it. 🙂
Then when I headed to the beach, I found this scary creature dead at our door….YUCK!
John hanging out at the beach….
That night we went to dinner at the Italian restaurant at the resort…they had cool lighting outside…
The view from dinner…
Day 8 – For some reason, I thought to take a pic of what my luggage looked like before I zipped it…notice everything is neatly organized, folded, double ziplocked in baggies, etc. **For all of you who travel a lot, take pics of your souvenirs, breakables and your luggage, just in case. 😉 I was glad I did…
This is only PART of my family's luggage that was taken on this trip…can you believe how much stuff we all bring with us?! LOL
At the airport, they have a kiosk where you can pick up your pics from various events/adventures you've experienced throughout the week. John had his pic taken with the sea lion at Los Caletas and it was so cute that I had to take a pic of the pic. 🙂 (And yes, that's an underwater camera in his other hand) 😉
Loading the plane from the tarmac again…
Glad to be back home…
In Houston, they have these light up suitcases at baggage claim, it was cool!
Then going from Houston to Indy, we saw this rainbow out of our window…
And the most beautiful sunset ever!
We got to Indy late that night and my luggage was still in Houston. They said they'd deliver it the next day though and that it would be on the next flight out…well, the next day, after many phone calls and tracking the suitcase, it finally went out 3 flights later and was delivered to us at 11 p.m. like this! :O
The frame of the suitcase was crushed, it wouldn't zip, all of my breakables were broken or missing…about $600-$700 worth of stuff either damaged, missing, etc. It was ran over by something, not kidding. Some of my clothes had tire tracks on them and we found random pieces of asphalt and rubber at the bottom of the suitcase! :O
So glad we put those fragile stickers on, I mean, can you imagine what it would've looked like without them?! (sarcasm here) LOL
They should really print one up that says "Notice of Bag Destruction" ….that would be more appropriate. BTW, notice my bra hanging out? I wonder how many people got to see that!? LOL 😀 Oh well!
Cracked artwork…
Notice to all travelers out there – I found out that the airlines will replace your luggage but not all of the contents! They won't accept responsibility, even though they caused the damage and they won't even accept responsibility for theft of items in your suitcase! The airline rep told me they'd take depreciation into consideration when deciding how much to reimburse for the damage too…but what are they going to do? Depreciate a $100 bottle of Tiffany perfume?! LOL I went ahead and filed insurance claims but they claim on their forms that they don't cover artwork, ceramics, liquids, perfumes, etc, etc. so we'll see what happens…oh, and it takes up to 18 weeks to be reimbursed, just FYI. So for all of you out there who travel a lot, keep your souvenirs, expensive stuff, make-up and breakable stuff with you…only pack in your suitcase what you are ok with possibly losing and take pics of everything. I sent them dozens of pictures with the claim form, I'm sure they've never seen anything so extensive before! LOL
