Christine + David = Married!
We photographed this sweet couple’s wedding last month and we had a blast with them and their families! Of course, The Alexander Hotel is one of the coolest indoor art spaces that I ADORE so we started there for getting ready photos and wedding party pics! After that, we headed to the church, then Monument Circle for some chilly outdoor photos and then off to D’Amore for a fantastic reception! We had a FABULOUS vendor team that day and they had so many fun things for us to shoot…gorgeous details, beautiful flowers & uplighting, a custom donut hole wall and a fun photo booth! They are so cute together and it was an honor to capture their special day. Thanks for a fun time you guys, lots more pics coming soon!!

Rachel + Zach = Married!
We photographed this sweet couple’s wedding in February at Scottish Rite Cathedral. Their day was beautiful but it certainly didn’t start off quite as planned! Rachel and her sister were on the way to the venue when they got in a horrible car accident that totaled her car. They were hit by another car & their air bags deployed but their angels were definitely looking out for them…they both walked away from the accident and were ok!! They dealt with the car situation, called the hair stylist and got to the venue a little shaken up, as you can imagine. After a few tears, lots of hugs and a hair redo, everything was back on track for a great day!!
Rachel had so many gorgeous details, we LOVED her adorable knee length dress, blingy shoes, and her handmade veil, it was stunning!! They got super lucky with the weather, it was a beautiful day for some gorgeous outdoor photos!! Rachel made some crocheted roses that were placed into her bouquet and Zach had a crocheted boutonniere which was really unique. They had a very small private ceremony in Tiler’s Room at Scottish Rite and then a big reception party in the South Lounge that night. Since it was Groundhog Day, they had custom made groundhogs for their cake topper, it was adorable!! After lots of dancing, they finished out the night with a sparkler exit on the front steps. 🙂 Thanks for a fun time you guys!!

Jamie + Andrew = Married!
We photographed this fun couple’s wedding at Black Iris in January and had a blast with them that day! I was in LOVE with all of their details…her gorgeous dress, jewelry, flowers, venue, cake, lighting…it was all so perfect!! There were also nods to Beauty & the Beast, Harry Potter & Star Wars throughout their decor, which was fantastic!! Their band was phenomenal too! They were from Washington DC and they kept the party going ALL night long. They even provided a great photo booth for guests to take some fun candid photos throughout the night! Thanks for a great time you guys, lots more pics coming soon!!

In her words…
1. How did he propose? I bought a condo, and when I closed, he worked it out with the property manager to get in beforehand and set up flowers and the ring and a few things. I got to the house, and walked into the kitchen (where he set everything up) and he proposed 🙂 I didn’t quite believe it at first, I had NO idea it was coming!
2. What was your favorite wedding moment? How do I pick just one? Seeing each other all dressed up for the first time was great.
3. What was his favorite wedding moment? Walking in to the Imperial March…I don’t think he actually thought I’d be ok with it :-p
4. What was the funniest wedding moment? Seeing how entranced my niece was to the band. We figured she’d get grouchy and go to sleep after dinner…man were we wrong!
5. What was your first dance song? “The Best is Yet to Come” by Frank Sinatra
6. What advice would you give to future couples? Just have fun! Things will go wrong, people may disappoint you, but at the end of the day, you’ve got everyone you love together and you are married to your best friend 🙂
7. Where are you going on your honeymoon? Maui!
Jeni + Bobby = Married!
We photographed this sweet couple’s January wedding at the Mill Top and had so much fun with them that day!! When we arrived, the girls were in their matching flannels (adorable!) and fuzzy slippers, they looked so cute!! After the first look, Jeni & Bobby’s puppy made an appearance for photos! 🙂 Bobby made Jeni a gorgeous heavy coat so that she wouldn’t be cold outside but they were so lucky with the weather that weekend. It was actually perfect for outdoor photos so we took the wedding party outside for some fun photos around Mill Top and the train tracks. While we were shooting near the train tracks, an old classic car drove by and the couple driving it was nice enough to stop and allow us to take photos with it! Serendipity at its finest! 🙂
I loved all of their gorgeous details…the flowers, decor, cupcake bar and uplighting were all perfect that night. They had a Star Wars & Harry Potter themed wedding & reception so there were nods to both themes throughout the party, it was awesome!! Everyone got to play with a variety of themed props that night too, their guests loved it! Thanks for a fun time that day, more pics coming soon! 🙂

In Jeni’s words…
1. How did he propose?
He proposed to me on my birthday! It was one of those rare days in February where we could go outside in a light jacket (seems to be a theme with us!) and he suggested we go for a walk on the river walk in our town and told me he invited his friend to take pictures of us. We were taking pictures and next thing I know he is down on one knee holding a pink dinosaur ring box (he won a necklace in an arcade game that came in that box and I told him to save it) asking me to marry him!! It was quite the surprise and best birthday present ever!
2. What was your favorite wedding moment?
My favorite moment was during the ceremony when our Officiant had everyone put their hands out and “show us some love” and looking out to see how many people were there to enjoy our day and support both of us in our marriage.
3. What was his favorite wedding moment?
His favorite moment of the wedding was our first dance when I was uncomfortable having everyone stare at us and he just kept telling me to focus on him and no one else mattered right then.
4. What was the funniest wedding moment?
Not really a moment but watching everyone play with the lightsabers and wands and having lightsaber fights was amazing and hilarious!
5. What was your first dance song?
“Better with you” by Jesse McCartney
6. What advice would you give to future couples?
Take a few moments to just enjoy each other on your wedding day! There were so many people wanting to talk and say hi and take pictures with us that we barely talked to each other!
Karly + Brandon = Married!
We photographed this sweet couple’s wedding at Industry 828 in December and it was GORGEOUS!! Not only are Karly & Brandon adorable together but I loved all of their fabulous details that day! Her dress, monogrammed invitations, personalized flannels, flowers, decor, lighting, cupcakes & donut buffet were over the top AMAZING!! I love it when my couples put a lot of thought into how everything will look for photos and go the extra mile to make everything personalized! Their cute dog Lucy even made an appearance for some of their photos! 🙂 Thanks for a fun time that day, lots more pics to come!

In her words…
1. How did he propose? “We were decorating for Christmas, our favorite time of the year and we were decorating the tree and I was messing with the ornaments and he said behind me, ‘You are missing one more ornament’ and turned around to a ring!”
2. What was your favorite wedding moment? “My favorite wedding moment was obviously the engagement, but soaking in the moments that he was going to be my husband was my favorite. Favorite moment during the wedding was our first look and writing our own vows, it was so special to hear from him.”
3. What was his favorite wedding moment? “His favorite was our first look”
4. What was the funniest wedding moment? “The funniest part was doing the “sparkler” kiss that lasted awhile and hearing our friends trotting around us with their sparklers. Brandon’s surprise end of his speech also made us laugh so hard.”
5. What was your first dance song? “Ho Hey – Lumineers”
6. What advice would you give to future couples? “To enjoy every moment of the day and not to worry about the smallest details and let everything just flow.”
